Re: Yet Another Headlight Thread
Bummer about the bots, Rob! Yikes! I owned & operated a very busy outdoors forum for years & spammers were the bane of my existence on PHPBB! Ugh. Thanks for doing that, BTW! Anyhow, yep, I did bench test all the lights with a power box but I've not done the ammeter thing. I'm just now start...

Re: Yet Another Headlight Thread
Load equalizer...nope. Rats! I'm still fighting this. I think I might have to just create a whole new headlight relay circuit. I need to find a proper connector so I don't have to cut the original system up. Vintage Connections didn't have them last I checked. They didn't have much of anything reall...

Thanks! It feels a tad squirrely but it's been SO windy here I might just be being blown all over the road. I'll know for sure on a calm day.

Re: 72 2 Door 510 Restoration-25 years in the making
Here's the overall stance. It's a little high in the front but I guess it is what it is. I also scored a set of roof racks for $30! I won't run them all the time, of course, but I want to take the car camping and it'll give me a spot to haul my tentcot since it won't fit in the car anywhere! https:/...

Re: 72 2 Door 510 Restoration-25 years in the making
Well, the front is finished! That job was a real struggle by myself. The struts/brakes, etc., are so heavy & awkward to maneuver alone but I got it. Thank goodness for mini floor jacks! These springs were taller than the ones I took out so I hope it doesn't look like a gasser hot rod after it se...

Re: Suspension Advice Needed
Whoa! I bet that was terrifying!
Thanks so much for showing me, I'd never have known. I will check it after a couple of drives. Lord knows our roads suck bad enough to bottom out a monster truck!

Re: Suspension Advice Needed
I wondered if there was supposed to be some sort of cushion on that metal bump thingie inside the rear spring at the top. In the bottom is just the hardware for the sway bar so no cushion there, either.
I don't think I understand how to check the clearance.

Re: Suspension Advice Needed
Well, I went with the Vogtland springs. I contacted them about the rates, etc., and got no reply 🙄 but since I can't seem to find anything else per application I was kind of out of options. I bought my set from a vendor on Ebay because it was quite a bit less expensive and half the shipping of Datsu...

Re: 72 2 Door 510 Restoration-25 years in the making
Project "Spring has sprung" has begun! Yesterday, my new springs arrived so I dug in! It took me a few hours but I got the back end finished! I still need to get under there and clean, prep & paint but not today. No one should be looking that closely at my rear end anyhow! 😜 I was afra...

Re: 3D Printing Thread - Look What I 3D Printed
Lol! Yep! Sometimes with all this fancy techy stuff, it's easy to overlook the simple stuff. I just toss a US quarter coin on there with the item then size it in Fusion til the quarter is about an inch (actually, 24.257 mm if you need it to be precise) & that will give you the proper scale for t...

Re: Vin Plate Size?
I did a film print of my artwork & it printed really well. Then I thought it might make a cool T-shirt if I increased the size a bit. I think I'll make one & see. It'd be kind of a fun "if you know, you know" sort of shirt! 8) https://i.postimg.cc/qvsZyQqk/temp-Imageg-Axg47.avif ht...
