You're welcome! I thought it was a pretty interesting contraption! I bet if you take them apart now, you'll make them work. It doesn't seem like a whole lot can go wrong with them but corrosion is their number 1 enemy, I think.

The weather is starting to get halfway decent so I've been chipping away at some things on the car. Right. They don't seem bent but something definitely has to be adjusted. I don't think my car is tweaked because everything lined up easily and I haven't got any weird panel gaps. I'll update when I get an afternoon to work it out.

Thanks, IM! I think you're exactly right. I suspect that the stud plates are off on the bumper itself. Ugh. I'll measure & report back; if nothing else for someone who may have the same issue someday.
