Re: Seat belt mounting location ???

Thank you Kurt. I already purchased the seatbelts from Seat Belt planet and got pretty much the same set up in that link. I will feel around a bit more and see if I can feel the hole based on where that picture shows it mounted. I checked out Datsport but they show it on a 4 door so its a different ...

Re: Seat belt mounting location ???

Zkars thank you so much for taking the time to write that up and take a picture. I apologize but I meant the upper mounting point for the front seat belts. Again I really appreciate that and sorry, I should have been more clear in my initial question.

Seat belt mounting location ???

Hey guys this is probably a dumb question but where is the seat belt shoulder mount hole on a 2 door 1972 510? My car came as a project and has a new headliner and no holes cut in to it. I already made an incision on where I thought it was, so I would like to figure out where it's supposed to mount ...

Re: Spring Length affect on the suspension?

Good advice Byron, and thank you for the description of the driving dynamics of having the rear suspension be too soft or too hard - that is good to know. After 4 years of working on and off on the 510 it's getting pretty close to being driveable so for now I was looking for a best guess for the ini...

Re: WTB - Antenna, 510 Badge, Fuse Block cover

Thank you Dean. I actually have a 510 badge but the pegs are missing like yours. I will email you and perhaps you can send me a photo of what you did.

Would you be willing to sell the whole fuse block and if so how much would you want for it?

Thanks.

Ahhh that makes sense funwithmonkeys. Perhaps my issue is that I have the car pretty low. I guess i will have to modify it like you did.

Thanks again

Re: Spring Length affect on the suspension?

Thank you guys. I bought some 8" front springs and swapped those out today and it sits where I want it to now and there is no rubbing. I eventfully would like to get some helper springs because I don't have tension under full droop. So now that I have an extra set of 225# 10" springs should I swap t...

Re: Spring Length affect on the suspension?

Thank you for the thorough responses Byron and Jordan it is very helpful. I have heard good things about the Tokico 5 way adjustable inserts so hopefully they will be a good pairing with the springs. I am going to order up the 8" springs and see how they work. I can always get some wider spacers and...

Spring Length affect on the suspension?

Hey guys, I finally got my fenders rolled so I can now set the proper ride height but the problem I am running in to is that when I set the height where I like it the back of the tire is hitting the bottom adjustment rings of the coilover. I currently have 10" long springs but I am pretty sure if I ...

Re: Front Sway Bar Help

Funwithmonkeys - I just went through your build thread and saw what you did. I guess that's what I will have to do as well. It's a shame that bar doesn't fit right out of the box.

Anyone else have a good recommendation on a sway bar that they know bolts right up?

Re: Front Sway Bar Help

Icehouse, it is still hitting the Xmember even after I cut it. Funwithmonkeys - thank you for the reply. Who made the bar you are running if I may ask, and how did you re-profile the bar? Having a good front sway bar is such an important piece and it seems like there isn't a good reasonably priced b...

Re: Front Sway Bar Help

So after looking at other crossmembers I thought I could cutting back the the front lip of my crossmemebr would allow the sway bar to rotate enough to work. I cut off about an 1.5" and now I can get the end links on but when the wheels are under load the sway bar still hits the front crossmember. I ...

Re: Remove front crossmember with out removing engine?

Thank you duke. Is the newer or older style preferred, or I guess is it better to have the LCA pivots higher or lower?
