Re: Project Sacrilege: '55 Chevy with Japanese twist.
Well, it's been over a year since my last update, so I misawell make an update since I still lurk this site. Life's been busy (deployed overseas), so I haven't been able to do too much work, other than stockpile parts ! (including for my 510!) But here's a little update of the car so far. Exterior: ...

Re: Project Sacrilege: '55 Chevy with Japanese twist.
I'm not really a fan of air bags at all haha, but i finally found a rear set-up, but thanks for the advice! Progress update: So, I've been really busy with being away from work and such. So I've been just slowly ordering parts and letting them arrive. I basically only get to work on this on the week...

Re: My 71 510 budget SR20DET build
Update: Nothing really notable has been done to the car, except for the usual necessary maintance with these old things. I really need to upgrade the brakes lol. but hey, I've been driving and enjoying the everliving crap out of it. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d36/Sycklash/Mobile%20Uploads/rec...

Re: Project Sacrilege: '55 Chevy with Japanese twist.
So, I managed to get some work done before I left! Car was completely ground clean and sprayed with some epoxy. Firewall is done for the most part except for needing to block block block. Managed to get a coat of fill on the quarters, so that's a big step. My father said he might putt away on it whi...

Re: Project Sacrilege: '55 Chevy with Japanese twist.
Thanks guys for the kind words! It's nice to hear some kind words :P, most people aren't too fond of it as you can imagine hahaha. and 510wizard, I picked up the absolutely bare shell for 6500, which is actually a pretty good price for around here whereas it has brand new(still e-coated) panels on t...

Project Sacrilege: '55 Chevy with Japanese twist.
Well, I guess I'll start a new thread for my latest project so you guys know I'm not dead, and this is what I'm doing while I'm neglecting the Datsuns(I also picked up a '72 1200 :P) Ever since I've been little, I've been growing up around 55-57 chevys, and a '55 has always been my dream car. A litt...

Re: My 71 510 budget SR20DET build
Been a little while since my last post :P Biggest things to say are... THE SNOW IS GONE!(and the salt).. I've actually had the car out for a few rips! Including taking it to one of the biggest car shows in the maritimes. It was the first of the season, and I went with a group of buddies under the na...

Re: My 71 510 budget SR20DET build
I guess it's been a while since I did an update haha, well, since august a lot has happened, so I'll try and post what I remember haha. I managed to score a 2013 subaru R180 Torsen LSD through work for $300 Canadian(basically $100 for you Americans now haha), wit only 20k on it. The downfall is it's...

Re: wink mirrors-- pros & cons?
They're great. I don't know what I'd do without mine now. I have my fender mirrors set up so I can constantly see my blind spots, because my wink mirror takes care of everything else behind me. so worth the $30 haha! Mine did rattle a bit when I first installed it though, but that was a quick fix as...

Re: My 71 510 budget SR20DET build
Got together with a couple other 510 owners in the past little bit! Just been cruising + babying the car so I can enjoy it until a new rearend pops up. Might even just run a datsun R180 out of a Z until I can find a subaru one since the STI ones are becoming impossible to find for under $1000. https...

WTS: 510 goodies. Tach, sway bars, etc
Hello, I've recently come into the need of money, so I decided to try and sell off a few of my leftover's online rather than keep trying to sell local. -Factory tach /w instrument cluster - $250 obo -26ish mm FRONT sway bars (two of them) $100 each. (nothing but the bars themselves) -Manual pedalbox...

Re: My 71 510 budget SR20DET build
So turns out I robbed the wrong axles from my buddys subaru. They ended up being 23 spline after the hassle of tearing that rusty thing apart haha. but thanks to my buddy, I was able to get a rearend from him and shove it in the 510 so I can continue babying it so I can enjoy driving it until the sn...
