Re: Modified Collector Insurance

Got modified collector plates late last year. You need to have another insured vehicle to qualify but very easy process otherwise. $325.00 a year for insurance.

Re: SOLD - 80s Subaru 3.7 R160 Clutch LSD

I’ve learned things.

1) The 3.36’s in my fake 510 appear to be sub optimal to hang with the crew......but if one of these drives end up at the Bonneville Salt flats I’m going to kick some ass.
2) A dude named Toylet has strong thoughts on the pricing of differentials.
3) Canadians are very polite.

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

After reading all Keith’s notes my take away is that my open 3:36’s could be sub optimal. Indeed. I have a 4.11 that I am going to turn into a 4.6 so there will be a set of gears available sometime soon. Let me know Norm. If I could order a close ratio 5 speed at the same time that would ...

Re: JCCS 2017 in Long Beach

Turbine power generator in that RX7! Yes, I just saw that as well. Very cool. It reminds me of the old Chrysler Patriot project for LeMans. https://jalopnik.com/the-first-hybrid-racecar-was-amazing-and-would-have-kil-1600307873 OK, I have to clear this up. I see an electric motor, and a battery pac...

Re: WINTHROP Drive 2017

I have learned that if it looks like there is going to be an opportunity to pass I need to be in the right gear and ready. If I have to shift I have no chance. Even more so with the 4.11 gears. I can't just stand on it in 4th anymore. Should try it with some 3.36's and down about 60hp to you. I fel...

Re: WINTHROP Drive 2017

Like Keith and Norm said, fantastic road and great drive. Those high speed sweepers seemed to go on forever. Think I'm going to install a nitrous bottle for some passing power, very frustrating getting stuck behind some of the traffic on the way back. Sorry Keith, I lost you guys in Lyndon...

Keith should expect a ticket any day now from the West Vancouver police for straddling the center line. Great article!

This is a really great event.
A HUGE thanks to Byron, Richard and all the volunteers that make it happen. The logistics of organizing and controlling an event when it gets to be this size gets a big round of applause from me....good job all!
