I think you are running out of fuel due to the size of your float bowels and hole in your needle and seats. I think your needle and seats are 1.5 or 1.7's, some of the 210's used a 2.5 witch worked with a radical tweak of the float. Your choke won't work if you are running out of gas. To check this ...

I just built me a 44" brake out of scrap steel I had laying around with the help of U-Tube and a couple Z24 valve springs I had. My local steel shop has a 8' brake for the big stuff. My total cost $14

Thanks for the correction Byron510, the L20 uses a 114 link chain and the other L's use an 110 link, but my point was the oil filter.

The L28 and L20 chains are the same, there are two problems to cause chain ware: 1st is not using a made in Japan oil filter, all others drain back into the pan overnight and you have to reprime the oil circuit, this is because the filter is horizontal, if you can point it down a little this does no...

I found 1 bad coil in 40 years of working on Datsuns and it was because they mounted it nose down and the oil ran out. Datsun coils made about 48 KV about 10 more than any other you could buy. If it's bad I bet it's not OEM
