Re: F20C in a 510
Hey folks, Just finalizing a few measurements before I post any CAD drawings, but here's a preview of the model: Did you ever get this built? Sorry for the long delay. Being a complete idiot (or perfectionist, your choice of vocabulary) I went through about 5 major revisions after I posted the mode...

WTB: R160/R180 input flange
Hey guys, I'm in the process of swapping to a Subaru R180 LSD. I pulled the input flange off of the Subbie unit, went to pull the input flange off of my stock R160 and noticed it was a little rusty. If one of you has a Datsun R180 or R160 input flange you would be willing to give up please let me kn...

Re: Rack And Pinion exploration
The Saturn option is no doubt cheap and plentiful, but where would you put that PS unit on a rear steer 510? Byron, no reason you can't tuck it under the dash from what I see. It seems agnostic to its position along the column. Possibly, but from those photos the unit looks large, and there isn't m...

There really isn't much pan, especially at the rear.

Re: F20C in a 510
Hey fellas, Just took some final measurements that I'm very happy I took. There are some fatal flaws with the model posted above, mainly relating to the profile of the center box section 'channel' that runs under the sump and a lack of mounting for the MR2 rack. I've been taking some measurements an...

We ran them on our Pikes Peak car for the rain tires. Can't tell you why we did, though. I also think the Porsche 944 shipped with 25mm spacers on all four corners, again I can't tell you why, but my best guess is weight savings/manufacturing expediency.

Re: New potential products for 510's and Datsun from Mattndew76
My only issue with the latter style is the length of the studs and the fact that they force you to run very high offset wheels (basically whatever your offset would have been +25). I'm removing my rear hubs so I'll take some measurements to see if it's even possible with the stock bearing sizes etc.

The former.
The latter probably aren't worth manufacturing as they are around $20/corner on amazon.

No reason a mill couldn't make it, just more operations and tool wear in my (albeit inexperienced) estimation.

Re: New potential products for 510's and Datsun from Mattndew76
Damn, I was hoping you might be able to produce front and rear hubs in a 4x100 bolt pattern. I'll be working on it soonish, but I've only got limited access to an NC lathe (and CNC mill). It always feels like you've 'just' got the tools you've got. There's always a millturn machine or an additive ma...
