Re: Powerland aka Camby replacement

Chevy bed? I vaguely remember that concept from the 80's mini-truckin' explosion.

Re: Subaru R180 diff in Nissan case

Researching further today and talking to some people in the business, it is suggested that the ring gear will be hard enough material that it may be difficult or near impossible to drill and tap those holes larger. I know Kurt mentioned having that done in the original FAQ written about this many ye...

Re: Subaru R180 diff in Nissan case

Did some exploration on this today. The ring gear inner diameter is 115 mm, so no problem fitting the CLSD unit. After removing it I could also establish the distance from mounting flange to bearing is identical on the two units. One issue to adapt is the bolt size. The Subaru LSD flange has 11mm bo...

Re: Subaru R180 diff in Nissan case

I didn't check that yet, but I need to to make sure. Truck unit is a considered the newer type I believe, so it should match.

Subaru R180 diff in Nissan case

Hey all, I hope someone out there has done this and can chime in. I acquired an R180 Subaru CLSD unit bare, and I am looking to put it in my Nissan 720 truck housing with the 4.38 ring and pinion. It is the K housing, so I am thinking this should fit. This installation shouldn't really be any differ...

Re: 38mm Hitachi carbs + manifold

Is there anything different in size or settings from a set from an L16? If they were on L18s are they a better fit for my L18 when I build it?

Any particular wagon version you are looking for? I have a few extras of a couple of the versions.

Re: Center Mounted Parking Brake

From just that small slice of the seat image, it looks similar to the set I pulled from a 92 3 -series last fall. They are fully manual as well with the three levers. Brackets and sliders seem tall, so I will have to decide how to handle the install. I have read comments before about needing to moun...

Re: New Hot Wheeels coming out ... AGAIN

I haven't seen any of these on the shelf here in the midwest, but I did find a Greenlight version of Taz Harvey's Carrera Panamericana car here recently. It is in their "All-Terrain" series, so you may have to check behind the tractors.

Re: Center Mounted Parking Brake

I used a Sunbeam Alpine (or Tiger) handle mounted between the seat and rocker panel. It can be mounted in a LHD or RHD car. I had a simple cable made up for about $30 usd that works great. I did it because I hated the big, clunky handbrake assembly in my wagon. An addition benefit is that it elimin...

Re: Parts run-- anybody in?

No problem. I didn't notice the category this was under, so I kind of figured you meant that area. I was hoping lower mainland meant Ontario. :) I am interested in the clean manifold possibly (obviously shipping required). I would like one of those transmissions too, but have to think about that for...

Re: Parts run-- anybody in?

Steve, where exactly are you heading. maybe I don't speak enough Canadian to know the meaning of "Lower Mainland". :)
What is the 5 speed from? I also am interested in an exhaust manifold.

Thanks.

Re: WTB metal insert front windshield

Hi, I am looking to buy the metal insert for the front windshield of my 73 510. I have the rubber which accepts it just need the trim pieces. I am in so-cal area 91387. Thanks! I have a set of this available. It may be a bit expensive shipping for the size/weight properties. Let me know if interest...
