Re: build date and year 1970 what month
Mike, I have a '70 that I believe starts with 12xxxx, so I can check that for you. It's my B sedan car, so I hope it still has the plate.
That 2/'70 car should not have been a '71.

Re: New swap-4G63T
I do have an external cooler. This being a 7-bolt motor, I'm running an EVO3 oil filter housing. I did an oil pressure mod that should reduce high oil pressure, but it shouldn't affect lower oil volume pressure at all. Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the dumb questions. If I had read your signature...

Re: New swap-4G63T
Do you have an external cooler, with the '90 style oil filter housing (maybe in this thread already, but not searching right now)? I had issues getting my oil level in the system correct when I added one and would see moments of oil starvation as the pump pulled oil out of the cooler lines. I'm gues...

Re: WTB - Interor Passenger Door opener / handle - Victoria - $25
Owen, I have a few of these, so hopefully a good passenger side. If you want to try to find one north of the parallel, I will wait to see. I used some steel wool or brass wool to clean up a couple of mine, and actually repainted some of the black (maybe on the window crank, not sure now which one wa...

Re: front bumper differences
Maybe 10-15 mm shift needed? The brackets seemed straight, so unless something was tweaked on your car at some point they should be in the right place. Hopefully enough material in them to potentially enlarge the slots. One thing to bear in mind, is these cars are not as dimensionally accurate as mo...

Re: front bumper differences
I can't recall the hole pattern on the set I sent you (frame mounting side), if they were level or offset, but that should only affect the height, not the side to side dimensions. The brackets should only fit with the angled wing going outboard. New aftermarket bumper, right? I would suggest you fin...

Yes sir, they are. I don't have them packed yet, but easy enough to do if I can find something long enough. I will send a private message with email address.

Re: front bumper differences
Well today lo and behold, I found the brackets in my garage attic. Was not looking for them at the time. Thanks again to Mike for sending the templates, even though I will not need to use them now. They would have worked great to replicate the parts. I did a trial fit, and other than some slight sid...

What are those bolts on top of the pile, head bolts? Is the price of that whole package really 4000 yen?KiKiIchiBan wrote: ↑09 Feb 2024 08:59 Then a new metal head gasket and some bolts and gaskets to button it up.

Re: front bumper differences
Mike, you've come to my rescue again. That essentially symmetric "Y" shape of the true 73 bracket makes sense given the location of the attaching studs on the bumper. Placing that mentally over the top bumper in the last picture I posted would place it basically in line where it needs to b...
