Re: What did you do on your 510 today?
I can't recall what type of paneling it was, but it was a bad choice based off some research I did on a forum. The panel material is too porous and so it probably wouldn't even last a winter. A jigsaw and some saw horses/clamps are in need. I don't know why I thought I could just dive into the proje...

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?
I tried to cut out new door panels using a rotary tool and some thin wood I bought from Home Depot this past weekend. It turns out, I'm going to outsource either the door cards or the entire panels. I just don't think I have the proper tools to make the panels how I want them to be. However, I did d...

Re: Fluid On U-Joint
Haha, glad to see that this thread sparked some (hopefully good) memories for you, bertvorgen. Okayfine, I used a Timken replacement seal. It sat nice and snug so I'm hoping there's another explanation for this leak. Here's a a photo of the issue: http://i.imgur.com/kyvJHlS.jpg The yoke itself is pr...

Re: Fluid On U-Joint
Gotcha. Sounds like I might have some difficulty (impossibility) doing this out of my garage with the tools at my disposal. I'll try to exhaust some other options before taking her in. I appreciate the info!

Re: Fluid On U-Joint
Thanks for the input, bertvorgan. I also read a little bit about the bushing being a possible culprit. Do you happen to remember how difficult it was to remove the bushing? I've heard that it requires a special tool since it sits on the yoke pretty snug.

Fluid On U-Joint
Hey there, I have had a very slow drip that has been falling off my u-joint for a while now. I have a 280 tranny in there, and I heard that the output shaft seal could be the cause of this. So I replaced the seal yesterday and saw this morning that there was still fluid coming from the same area. I ...

Awesome. Thank you, that's really helpful to know. I just started having an a/f issue, so I guess I'll have to tackle that first.

Re: How do I remove the dash?
Hey Jeff - I know I'm a bit late, but thought I would ask anyways. Is this a question, or an offer of help? Either way, it's on the slim side... Hahaha, I definitely should have been more clear, but wasn't sure if the topic would be picked up by anyone else. I was asking Jeff to get some clarity fo...
