Re: WTB L16 intake for SU carbs

I think they are 46mm? and the research I did showed that they will bolt to the two bolt flange. I just put this out there to see if I can find the manifold for the right price since I have the carbs. Maybe I should just sell the carbs and go with the webers i originally wanted to run.

Re: Cam Identification

thats good to know, maybe the ends need to be brazed just like the DQ article says to do to the middle after shortening it. I was looking at the external spray bar too but didn't know it cost $145.

Re: Cam Identification

Can anyone ID this came? I just got a 240Z head intake exhaust setup and it came with the factory spray bar. I read the dime quarterly article on how to shorten the spray bar to use on the 4 cylinder but I would like to know if this is something good for the street in a L16 or L20B.

WTB L16 intake for SU carbs

I have a complete head, intake and exhaust from a 240Z and it came with round top SU carbs. I was thinking about rebuilding and using these on a L20B that I have. Does anyone have a L16 intake, I think its either a 220 or K14 intake for the SU carbs they want to sell?

Cam Identification

I have a cam for L series that has 420 00 on the back, no oil holes in the lobes and has a red stripe on it. It does have the two large squares like a L20B cam but the profile of the lobes looks way different then a stock cam. Anyone know the manufacturer? or how can I find the specs for this cam? t...

Re: Aftermarket tach surround idea

It is made by flotool and the part number 10718, looks like oreily's and homedepot sell them too. I brought the dummy light cup to the store and just looked for funnels that matched.

Aftermarket tach surround idea

I added a aftermarket tach to my dash and I found a solution to fill in the dash without having to cut up a factory dummy light cup. I wanted to fill in between the tach and the dash 20180120_170337_1517666504468_resized.jpg I bought this funnel from walmart for just under $3.00 20180120_165520_1517...

Re: Front coilover conversion question

Unfortunately the 280zx struts came with inserts otherwise i would have just changed the oil. Ill have to check the rear springs because the rear already seems lower than stock. I dont know if they are cut stockers or different. Ill have to pull one and see if there are any part numbers in them. Wha...

Re: Front coilover conversion question

I want the car just a little lower then stock and I'll be running 15x7 panasport wheels that it came with. I was thinking about pulling the stock front struts and keeping them intact. So I started looking at coil overs for the 280zx struts I already have, I haven't decided on the front inserts. I wa...

Front coilover conversion question

I'm almost ready to swap the 280zx struts onto my 72 510. There is a post on ratsun selling eibach springs and carrera sleeves for $90. He has 8" long 200 pound springs which I think would be perfect for my setup. Any reason I shouldn't get these? $103 shipped sounds pretty good. What else will I ne...

Re: My L20B build, piston cam and other questions

The engine looks like its in good shape, I still need to pull the pump and check it but I did pull all the rod and one main caps and so far everything looks good. FYI the rod bearings looked worn but I didn't see anything that would have stopped it from running. I'll let you know on the diff, but th...
