Re: WTB KA24 water pump pulley/ housing

Thanks for the reply. I already have the stock KA24de water pump housing. Is there any other way to get this done for clearance for the radiator than putting a KA single cam water pump housing and water pump pulley on to run a single drive belt? Never say never, but I just followed the write up for...

Re: Noob build

Been a while... progess didn't go as quickly as I'd hope over the holidays. But the doors are now loaded, power door locks installed, sub box carpeted and bolted down, made a shelf for the rear speakers screwed around with more wiring. Of course the car won't start again, no spark. This time there's...

Re: WTB KA24 water pump pulley/ housing

I have the stock KA24DE outlet housing. If you're doing a single belt conversion you'll need the one from the KA24E. Let me know.
As far as the pulley goes they are harder to come by...

Looking very very nice. Are planning to cut and polish the clear coat?
For sure, I want to get it inspected first so it's insured and then I'll get on with that. I've never done it before so I'm going to get some help on it.

Re: Noob build

Well, it's done. Paint turned out really well except a few minor clearcoat issues on the gas flap and one of the window frames. Starting to assemble now and should hopefully get it inspected by mid-January at the latest.

Re: Noob build

very nice, always satisfying when things become the same color , even if it is only primer. Thank you and absolutely, looks a lot closer to being done. It shouldn't be too much body work, hope to have it all painted by the end of November. I'll need more light and a better way to hold the panels in...

Re: Noob build

Well, it was painful but the parts were stripped followed by epoxy and high build primer. Next days off we'll get to body work..

Filled the heater core holes in the firewall. Will ultimately go with a vintage air system down the road.

Good call, they make nice stuff and even though it's process to fit everything in the car it'll be worth it. Nice work man!

Re: Noob build

Ahhhh, your wiring brings back memories when doing my own. I saw your car two owners prior, when it was full on race mode. You’ve come a long ways with it, nice job your doing on its resurrection. Sure could have used an extra hand had I known :P And thank you, I'm glad it's being appreciated. It's...

Re: Noob build

Wiring is almost done, a few small things to tidy up. The gauges all work and look great, just need to finalize horn, defrost, hazard and 12V button locations. Still need a custom piece to mount the heater controls to, once that's done the dash can be buttoned up. IMG_1058.jpg IMG_1055.jpg IMG_1053....

Fun :-)

Does Pico make that relay / fuse holder? It's a good idea for these add on items.

Byron
They unfortunately do not. I looked for a long time and found this one on eBay, I’m using two of them. There wasn’t anything suitable at the local parts stores that carry Pico
