Re: Noob build

And undercoated. It's a bit more textured than I'd like but it will do.

Re: Noob build

Here we are, a couple of long nights later the epoxy primer is done. Who would have thought cleaning the bottom of a car could be so much fun... Tonight it's undercoating and then the underside is done.

Re: Noob build

Today was productive. The car is on the rotisserie and the under body work will start tomorrow morning. 98.jpg 100.jpg I also made a little exhaust fan setup for when I blast and undercoat, nothing fancy just three old fans from a refrigeration unit. I'll see how that works when it's time to do coat...

Re: Noob build

Byron, That's good feedback and similar to what I have in mind. I have a 25' long coiled copper pipe that fits in a bucket with two quick connects on the end. I'll fill the bucket with cold water when painting / sandblasting is happening to cool the air sufficiently before it goes into the dryer. So...

Re: Noob build

After a bit of a hiatus due to a renovation renovation and moving back to the island, as well as fixing everybody else's stuff first, the car is finally at the shop and getting some attention. She's all stripped down, I made the rotisserie attachments and it should be in the air this weekend. Been s...

Re: Noob build

Well it's been a while, life got in the way. New job, still gotta move and bought a 240 project. But the 510 will be done first, no flipping back and forth. Assembled her a bit for transport, got it running decently well but sounds like a vacuum leak and bad timing so it sputters. Good enough to loa...

These came off the car when I first bought it, don't fit the 280ZX brakes and I don't have a use for them. Could look great with a little TLC. $160 obo - Tires are shot but two of them could be good for a few burnouts. https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/pts/6220035643.html iPhone 017.jpg iPhone 018...

These were cut out of a rust free car, all the spot welds drilled out. Would hate to throw them away if anyone needed them, 20 bucks a side + shipping if required.
