Re: alternative rear springs
It will be an SCCA Production car, race only. Currently 275 fronts but I have other springs from 250-350 in 25 lb. increments, rules require the springs be in the stock location. considering the 3.8 to 1 factor for spring to wheel rate I was expecting to run 950-1100 in the rear. I thought the 3.5 d...

Re: alternative rear springs
I guess I wasn't clear, I'm looking for alternative springs to run in the stock location. I know I can buy 3" ID springs and cut them but to get the right combination of rate and ride height might take a lot of springs, shims etc. I thought I might be able to use some of the 2 1/2" springs...

Re: alternative rear springs
Will a 2 1/2" ID spring work? I have several 2 1/2- 2 5/8 ID coil over springs in a variety of rates that I would like to experiment with.

Re: A87 Head Chamber Volume
Found the problem, a brand new in the box burette that was calibrated wrong. I need to recheck but the first try with a small syringe gave a chamber volume of 43.2 cc. Thanks for the replies.

Re: A87 Head Chamber Volume
I used a 1/4" thick piece of acrylic with 2 small holes, one to fill one to vent, a 100ml lab burette and sealed the plate to the head and the valves with white grease. I also checked the burette calibration against a syringe. I'm sure I must be doing something wrong because I got a similar ina...

A87 Head Chamber Volume
Is there a large chamber version of the A87 head? I have an A87 closed chamber cylinder head and the combustion chamber measures 55cc, all the information I've been able to find says the chamber volume should be in the 41-45cc range. Does anyone know what this head is from? The chambers are not modi...

First 510
Hi, Bought my first 510 last year, it's an old SCCA GT4 car that I'm converting to compete in the SCCA H Production class and maybe Vintage Racing. Although it's my first 510, I've owned a few Z cars, and raced MGB's, 280zx's and Spec Racer Fords. My goal is to qualify the 510 for the SCCA National ...
