Re: Exterior squeegees.

OK. Maybe it might help to put glue on. I’ve got time as our car (i.e. my son and I are converting a 4 door to a 2 door) is still at the panel shop. More concerned about the metal strip which is stapled through from the back as it is so rusty as to be useless. Need to completely replace them.

Re: Exterior squeegees.

Hi Bert, Thanks for your very comprehensive write up. My trims are badly rusted on the piece that the staples go through first so I was hoping to find out what people did about replacing that. I’m thinking I’ll need to completely replace that piece then carefully drill right through (holding it all ...

Re: Bert Vorgon's Spring Maintenance Project

Hi Bert, Your trims are in much better condition than mine and the first piece that the staples go through are badly affected by ferrous oxide, must have come from a wetter area of ‘merica. As you say those staples are very tenacious and don’t let go easily. I think I’ll probably need to replace the...

Exterior squeegees.

Hi, wondering how people have been attaching the outer sgueegees when they need replacing? Can’t see how to staple the back piece on again, just wondering if pop rivets would work! Any advice appreciated.

Re: 510 Rear sway bar & Dash Cap

I’ll take rear sway bar if you will ship to
New Zealand.
I’ll pay with PayPal as soon as you agree.
Obviously it will depend on shipping cost but I’ll pay any reasonable cost.
These aren’t available in NZ so I want.

Cher’s,
Bernie.

6 speed sr20det gearbox

Has anyone on the realm done a 6 speed gearbox with their SR20DET? My question is regarding the speedo. I have done one of my 1600's (510) with a 6 speed and a cable-x electronic to mechanical speedo drive. This works well until about 60mph but after that the speedo needle wavers all around and it i...

Re: Reversed front crossmember

Hey Abe That's strange in that the one I have wouldn't line up. I know it's from a '72 510 and it isn't bent and mine is a '69. Wonder if that's the difference? Yeah the reason I did mine was because I was old it'll bolt up with just a bit of elongating the crossmembers holes. thanks Hi from New Ze...
