Re: Blue '71 Project
I've always wanted an OEM tachometer, but I didn't like the idea of paying what I've seen a lot being sold for. I came across this one for what I thought was a decent price with the entire cluster, so I went ahead and picked it up, got it all wired up and installed. A little concerned that the speed...

Re: Am I in over my head? '70 2 door from scratch
Awesome progress! Big progress on my Classic Air heating and cooling installation... it was a little tricky to get this in the right position and mounted on the firewall. The 510 firewall is not a flat surface so I needed to build out some supports to mount the unit onto so it is square, level and s...

Looks great! What type of hard line and AN hose are you using, and brand of fittings? I'm using some AN line on another project and there are so many different options. I ended up getting some fittings and ptfe hose from Racetronix, they look like nice parts, but I haven't assembled them yet.

Re: 72 2 Door 510 Restoration-25 years in the making
Thanks, Chris! I'm going to go order a set! ETA: Hmm, the brackets are reasonable but the $91 shipping for them and headlight trim rings is a bit steep. I think I'll have a browse around online before committing to that. It appears that they have a $47 per item shipping charge. I added another set ...

Those squeegees look great, and I wasn't aware of those clips either but I like that idea. I had planned to do something similar to what iceman described with staples.

Those bumpers will look great on the car! FYI, here's what the front brackets look like: https://www.futofab.com/index.php?optio ... 1#brackets

Re: Am I in over my head? '70 2 door from scratch
Car is looking great! First thing that comes to mind is lower the body over the engine/trans on the crossmember if able, way less chance of ruining paint…that’s how the factory did it. 🍿 Interesting... Wasn't planning to do it this way, but no reason I shouldn't be able to and I agree that it seems ...

Re: Stu's 1972 4 Door
Really like that rear lighting modification, the layout/function is similar the LEDs in mine. Nissan should've wired them like this from the factory.

Re: Blue '71 Project
Thanks guys! Another small project completed recently. I wanted to mount some 6x9" speakers in the rear package tray area, but I didn't want to cut any sheet metal to do it...I also didn't want to see the speakers through the back window. My original package tray was in terrible shape, but just...

Re: 72 2 Door 510 Restoration-25 years in the making
I tried tapping into the original wire for my aftermarket water temp gauge, but I did have problems with different ohm readings and such and the new gauge did not read accurately. I ran a new wire and it reads perfect now.

Re: So much damn wire
I wanted better headlights than sealed beams but did not want to spend the money for projector HIDs, and I don't think they would have fit anyway with all of the stuff I have right behind the headlights. Ended up with Holley Retrobright LEDs. They look like a sealed beam but have a pattern and brig...
