Re: RUN BEYOND HOPE 2019

If you make it to Princeton, a run down Old Hedley Rd or out and back (to the end of the black top) on the Princeton-Summerland Rd toward Osprey Lake are well worth it.

If its the 27th and you make it this far, I'm around to fire up the BBQ.

Re: Quaterpanel replacement

Looks good Mike, keep up the good work. I sure would like a dollar for every time it took that panel off to make a small adjustment on the way to getting a good fit. Matching the wheel house lip with the panel arch took some work for me too. After opening up the lip on the quarter panel the top of t...

Re: Jeff's '70 2 Door

Life, kids, work have slowed my progress to a crawl, although I will be back at it soon enough. Got the seat and harness mounts sorted with a bit of help from one of my crash test dummies https://i.imgur.com/tIEI7RX.jpg Made patches to cover the rocker opening in the rear wheel arch...forgot the rep...

Re: better red than dead

Hey Robyn, i took a few shots of when I did mine. Not sure how to link them but they are on page 3 of my thread. Used a dremel to take the peen off the nut. The car was already on stands so to lock the axle I drilled a couple of holes in a long piece of angle and used the wheel studs to bolt it. I u...

Re: Monday Ramblings

Keith, this morning I watched the bear video you posted and showed my wife. We had a conversation about how fast they are then I went out to the shop. 5 minutes later I was pulling on my coveralls when I heard the chickens making a racket. I walked out of the shop and heard that distinct huffing sou...

Nice work. I bet it feels good to have it in primer. Now that you've had plenty of practice you should come over and do mine.

Re: Jeff's '70 2 Door

Its been one step forward and two steps back since my last post. I have been stripping the under body and engine bay and trying to finish up any metal repairs along the way before I get into paint prep. The more I strip, the more rust I find. This one was in the rear drivers wheel arch/ shock tower,...

Re: Knox Mountain 2019

Hey Keith,
If you and others want to make a weekend of it, there is lots of room to camp at my place in Summerland. There is a nice spot with a plug in for your Boler.

Re: Jeff's '70 2 Door

Thanks for the feedback Byron. I hear you on driver position/seat placement. While I didn't have the seats when I fabricated the cage, I knew what I was going to use and was able to figure the dimensions into my design. I also referenced your cage build (a lot, thank you) and did consider a horizont...

Re: Jeff's '70 2 Door

I've been working on the car fairly consistently over the last month but it seems like slow going. I have been trying to finish any welding that effects the floor or engine bay as I want to get them in paint before I get too busy this summer. Most of what I have done is finishing small stuff, patchi...

Re: Jeff's '70 2 Door

One of the differences between the original rear quarter and the new panels is the angle of the edge of the trunk. https://i.imgur.com/SEyX6yW.jpg When I had everything screwed together, I figured it was as close as i was going to get it. Then I welded it, the corner sucked in and it got worse, espe...
