Re: Jeff's '70 2 Door

During the test fit the valve seals were getting pinched so we went looking for something shorter. Tried VG30 seals but they were the same as what I had. Read somewhere on here about Ford V6 seals (part # SS 72686 Fel Pro), they are shorter and the the valve guides needed a trim of about 1/16th. htt...

Re: Bad Brakes

Maybe try doing a vacuum bleed. Worked for me when I couldn't get a firm pedal.

Re: WTB Crankshaft Oil Slinger L20B

Thanks Colbino. I really miss being able to use the mail service in Oroville, makes shipping from the US to Canada reasonable....and the burritos from Pablo's truck are worth the drive anyway. Nissanparts.cc want $56US for shipping on $4 parts.

Re: WTB Crankshaft Oil Slinger L20B

Thanks, I tried Nissan in Canada. They don't show any in their system.
Nissan Parts Deal has them for $2US but you can only buy 10, then $29US shipping to Canada.

Hey Stu, the breaker is 60 amp. That switch/ breaker combo would be much more elegant. https://i.imgur.com/c9sm8uq.jpg Some progress on the engine: Oil holes chamfered before final honing. Hey Stu, The breaker is on the line to the alternator. My wiring is based on Paulo's battery relocation diagram with some minor changes for additional fuse panel and 4 post shut off switch in the dash. https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/0ByCvxnHNk90SejRibXNScEt0M28?resourcekey=0-ln1x0UhPC...

Re: Jeff's '70 2 Door

There has been some progress on the engine with a promise to have it finished by the end of next week...Cheque is in the mail etc etc. It's already 5 months late. Keith, you might get that test drive this fall. The crank is balanced, polished and installed. https://i.imgur.com/2fW3gs0.jpg Rods have ...

Re: Jeff's '70 2 Door

Last post I had identified but not solved a couple of electrical issues. The problem boiled down to should have done it right the first time. One of the only corners that I cut was to visually inspect and re-wrap old harnesses. When I started testing and isolating problems, I realized that I should ...
