Re: SR20DE swap

So if it's the same as the KA, the stock headers should clear the steering box? I've heard people saying they needed a custom headers.

SR20DE swap

I've been looking around for a well documented SR20DE swap... but there is so much SR20DET pollution out there I can't find anything remotely interesting.

Can anyone point me into the right direction?

Thanks

Re: Fred's 73 2dr 510

Time for an update! I'm still working on the house but I've managed to spend some time on the 510. Progress is a bit slower than I'd like, but I'm still getting stuff done. The idea is to mock up/test fit and get everything ready before doing any body work so I don't have to cut, weld, drill holes, ...

Fastenal has everything I need, the thing is the 3 local suppliers refuse to sell me anything...

Anyway, thanks everyone!

Metric Fasteners

Hey guys, Where do you buy your metric fasteners in Canada? All the suppliers around here only sell to businesses... Places like Home Depot only have imperial fasteners... McMaster won't ship to Canada for individuals either... I'm stuck and i can't reassemble my front end with all those damaged fas...

Thanks! I skipped this one due to the reviews... Looks like they have 2 with the 5speed in stock.

I'll keep an eye out for your build! Keep it up

Re: 1971 2 Door 70s build

I'am also planning an SR20DE swap. Which JDM shop did you get them from and what did you pay for it if you don't mind? I went last week to look for a set of wheels and started asking for engine deals. They pretty much all told me it's hard to find a SR20DE these days in Japan...

Re: Steering knuckle useless screw?

Oh wow thanks. I feel a bit dumb.

I just want to rebuild everything with clean parts. They are a little bent/ heavily rusted. I guess it's fine like that, I'll just clean them up and pain over it.
