Re: R180 CV complete

One R160 CV and stub set has already been sold to Fred_L-P, Datsun Restomods' first customer! Super great guy btw, he spent several hrs with Andrew and I last weekend. First and happy customer! I'll try to install them during the next weekend. It was a real pleasure to meet you and Andrew. I had a ...

Re: Rock Auto Shipping to Canada Cost?

I buy pretty much everything from Rockauto because I'm too lazy to go to the autoparts store. Duties are always included in the price and prepaid. I've never had any issues or surprises so far in 10 years. I always pick the cheapest shipping and it usually arrives within 2 to 3 days, except this tim...

Re: Fred's 73 2dr 510

Yeah... I had to redrill offset holes for the transmission mount, extend by about 10mm the 4 slots and use 12mm of shims to get it right with the T3 crossmember. I'm a bit disappointed, it doesn't look clean at all.

Re: Fred's 73 2dr 510

Progress is pretty slow, but it's moving forward! Since I got my OEM 510 mounts and want to use them insted of the chinese crap. I decided to try using spacers as Pista_510 suggested. I estimated 1/2" on both sides would bring the brackets to the correct crossmember width. I just installed them toda...

That looks very good, I love the color. What brakes are you going to use with that 1" bmc?

i've heard people using camaro's but not sure what year?
KYB 743019 AGX for the 82-02 Camaro is adjustable and works.

By the looks of it, the T3 coilovers are also built around this shock absorber.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Adjustable Rear Spring Perch

I have 250lbs 8" x 2.5"ID Eibach in the front and for the rear I bought a 500lbs 18" x 3"ID Eibach truck spring that I cut in half, so ~1000lbs 9" springs. I will need to buy weight jack kit because it sits too low for me.

Re: Fred's 73 2dr 510

There are 4 different height 620 mounts. I would keep the motor as high as possible. It helps for ground clearance and allows the drag link to work. Back when me and Frank did those swaps with the stock steering we would also loosen the steering box and idler arm, one of us would pull the drag link...

Re: Fred's 73 2dr 510

Ok! I tried 6mm on both sides... It's better but not enough . I don't have long enough bolts to try any thicker right now. Next week I'll be back to work and have access to longer ones. I think I'll try 12mm on both sides.
