Just a short update.
I bought a alternator that is used in many newer nissans like primera, almera, x-trail
It fitted straight in with NO modifications at all, i just had to rewire to get rid of the external volt regulator.
The nissan part number is 23100AD210 and its a 110amp alternator.

Re: i need help identify a transmission
+1 what James said..
It seems like the 180b SSS was sold in Norway in 1980, so i guess that the box is from that car.
Counted the turns and it is excactly 6turns.
I will not use the car on the salty winter roads here, but store it.
So all the changes to the car will happen in the winter months

@two_68_510s
Thanks
There is rust, but nothing bad, mostly under the car.
The car is sold new in Norway and has been in the country all its life.

i need help identify a transmission
Hi. Can anyone tell me what transmission this is? And if it fits my 510 wagon? All i know its a 5speed with normal shift pattern. If there is anything i can measure or do to help identify the box just let me know. https://preview.ibb.co/ninGba/20170810_200443.jpg https://preview.ibb.co/cnB9wa/201708...

Hi.
A couple of months ago i bought my first Datsun.
Its a 1971 510 Wagon in relatively clean shape.
Im joining this forum mainly to get more knowledge of this car.
My future plans:
5speed swap
JDM wheels
lower it
twin carbs
clean up the interior
