Re: Local Wheel Dealers

In case that doesn't work I just took these off my 510 and they will not be going back on. Rubber is new.

Re: Dual 4 bolt (4 screw) 46mm SU intake manifold

The issue is getting a clean signal and having an IAC valve. They need to be separate and the IAC for sure needs to feed all cylinders equally. This could potentially be done with a large enough reservoir on the ballancer but runs the risk of the computer fighting the signal of loss of vacuum and op...

Re: Dual 4 bolt (4 screw) 46mm SU intake manifold

Ha yup the pursuit of flutter and getting a ballanced signal for the map. I have been able to remove the flutter with use of a reservoir but only off runners 3/4. It works and I am hesitant to put extra holes in the manifold but perhaps we can chat next time I see you. Yeah I have talked extensively...

Dual 4 bolt (4 screw) 46mm SU intake manifold

Hello Again, I have already asked one reliable resource about this but in the hopes that something exists I though I would throw this question out there. Does anyone know of a Dual 4 bolt (4 screw) 46mm SU intake manifold for a U67 head that has a vacuum pickup off runners 1/2, 3/4, and at least one...

Re: How broken is my L20b?

So I adjusted the timing as well I could to match this suggestion the car does run much better. The computer is still trying to fight something by adjusting the IAC and the person I have been in contact for with the system say it is the vacuum flutter. Can anyone please confirm with a video that the...

Re: How broken is my L20b?

I will have a read. The numbers seem all over the map for timing I remember checking a few sources but if the engine isn't out of sorts there really is no downside of trying.

Re: How broken is my L20b?

Also I am taking the Vacuum measurement from the middle of the manifold (which I think is the balancing tube). Given my poor knowledge of appropriate terms I have added a picture to the shared album above... it is where the blue silicone tube is connected to.

Re: How broken is my L20b?

I chased timing for a while these are my settings: 900 RPM 8 degrees 1200 RPM 10 degrees unstable RPM 2300 RPM 19 degrees unstable RPM 3200 RPM 28 degrees stable RPM 4000 RPM 33 degrees stable RPM It appears advance is all in around 3300 RPM Advance is all mechanical IAC blocked 630 RPM 7 degrees ad...

Re: How broken is my L20b?

10cc is based on the instructions with my compression tester and general research around the web. It seems to vary from teaspoon (~5cc) and table spoon (15cc) so in the middle I went. If there is a better measured value I am happy to try that. As for the procedure again I just tried to follow instru...

Re: How broken is my L20b?

Hey Robyn! Long time no chat. Is there a better place I could measure the Vacuum off of? Not on a charger, battery was new last year, all plugs removed, WOT, engine was hot, did dry test then wet as you can see no pattern to relate to a weakening charge 10W-30 motor oil, 10CC per cylinder I touched ...

How broken is my L20b?

Hi Everyone, I wanted to get some opinions and thought the internet might be a good place to find those! Last year I purchased this complete L20b engine: http://the510realm.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=30763&p=266792&hilit=affordable+fuel#p266792 Once in my hands it has had a bit of a rough go. First th...

Re: New Clutch Slips

Fork was the only one that came with the transmission, I was told it came out of a running car. My understanding is that hydraulic masters and slaves can account for the wear of the friction plate. Perhaps this isn't correct but there isn't anything to adjust depending on the push rod. I have a adju...

New Clutch Slips

Hello I am having some issues with my clutch and was hoping I could pick the collective mind about potential issues; I am also sent Baz an email about this but people here might also have a thought. Last year I converted my 510 to a 5 speed 280z non turbo transmission, the standard FS5C71B. For the ...

Re: Dizzy Erratic Timing

Ha I will put it back on ballast, I took it off after our discussion.

I will check the rotor thing or call you tomorrow!

Also forgot to mention it is all mechanical advance.
