Re: Rota wheel dealers (Canada)

I did some snooping around and it looks like the closest re-seller (Rota partner) is Four Function Autosport in Kelowna. There is one in Calgary and Lethbridge also. I agree that is a good idea to find a local supplier that benefits from bulk shipping rates.

Re: red dime on BAT- showing L series is still Loved!

I agree that this was a very unusual auction indeed, and that it was a wet dream come true for the seller. WOW! I watched the auction daily, and then went back at the end and read all of the comments starting from the beginning. I am certain that the buyer did not see the car in person. He went as f...

Re: Devil in a red dress. 1970 2 door money whore!!

And now you are about to install JBC crossmember and rack. You have done a ton of work In a short time and its shaping up to be a really nice no- expense-spared car. Interested to see how the turbo install is going.

Re: Rack And Pinion exploration

It is going to depend on how lowered your car is, and what angle the LCAs are to the ground. Keep in mind that the inside mount for the LCA sits higher with the JBC cross member than the stock cross member. My car is not as low as some, and prior to the rack & pinion conversion my LCAs were exactly ...

Re: Rack And Pinion exploration

I just completed this same install, and went with the 2.9 OEM style rack. The multiplier equates to 2.436 in the car. I just a half hour ago moved the car for the first time since installing it. Out one driveway and into the next one, that's it. I have a primarily street "72 KA turbo car, and a slow...

Re: B210 brake booster install

I know that this has been suggested earlier, so may not be overly helpful now, but it sounds like you still have some air trapped in the system. On a recent non-510 car project I was working on I performed a 5 speed transmission swap and ended up also using a Tilton hydraulic throw out bearing. The ...

Well as a matter of fact I am. I take the picture with an iPhone and then email it to my PC where I save it into a file. Then post the picture from the file on the PC.

Re: 13" Wheel Rear Disc Brake Discussion

Ok, but a little odd. The picture is right side up on my computer. I suppose that I can try turning any to-be posted pictures on their right side so that they appear right side up on the realm. But there has to be a better way. I recall someone else mentioning a while ago that it was happening to th...

Re: 13" Wheel Rear Disc Brake Discussion

I managed to get the new rear dual caliper brackets all sorted out. To create a little additional room for a 13" rim I machined down the rotor hub by approximately 2mm so that the calipers could be mounted a little closer to axle centreline. As it happens I now have close to full brake pad contact w...

Re: 71 Pumpkin Pie Build Unflared SR20

I have been having the same issue from the beginning also. None of the pictures show up when using Internet Explore. If I then go to Chrome, turn it on, load up The Realm and then find the thread again, I can now see the pictures. Glad to hear that I am not the only experiencing this. And it is very...

Re: 13" Wheel Rear Disc Brake Discussion

I just looked at those links, and the second one looks like it could fit under a 13" rim. But only one will fit. Both of these rotors are too large to be able to fit two in side by side, with one to be used as the E-brake. In the Wilwood lineup, the Dynalite 3.25" of 3.75" seems to be the only reaso...

Re: 13" Wheel Rear Disc Brake Discussion

Byron, the OD of the rotor hub is 170mm, and as far as offset is concerned, all that is required to get the caliper lined up with the rotor is a 1mm shim against a flat bracket. There is no requirement to make a complex offset bracket with the Wilwood caliper. Just a piece of 3/8" aluminum (or 3/16"...

Re: 13" Wheel Rear Disc Brake Discussion

I just had an ideal. I had slightly less than the required room to spin a 13" rim with my calipers mounted onto the original bracket, before I tore things apart. Now I have a bracket that will require the hub hat to be turned down 1-2mm to make fit. Which is the same thing as using a smaller bolt ci...
