A diode really makes sense, but not being being an electronics guy, what size or type is required for the amperage noted in my post?
1N5822 rated for 3ish amps should be the ticket AFAICT

I have used the Kartek equivalent in another car and have been very happy with the simplicity, ease of setup, and extremely small size.
When you say "equivalent" which of the Cartek devices did you use? I'm honestly curious to hear more specific experiences with this sort of system

Re: Anyone replace the fusebox with a PDM?

Those Rowe Electronics PDMs look pretty slick, but I just can't figure out how (https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rowe-electronics-amplink-power-distribution-module) 3 inputs and 6 output circuit would handle even the simplest datto rewire. By my count you need at a minimum 4 inputs to handle key ...

Re: Headlight Relay Harness

I think the answer is a diode in line with the indicator light so that current can only pass one way. I've seen a a diagram that redoes the entire headlight wiring using only 2 bosch 5 pin relays, the stock switches and one diode. I think Kelvin Dietz did it originally. Dunno if this works.... http:...

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

Took apart all my steering components including cross member and sold them two day ago. Went on James Boswell CoachWerks website and took a leap forward into the rack and pinion steering for my car. Super exited and glad I finally made my order. I'm in the middle of doing this conversion and pretty...

Not new here, but a new account

After having a couple of dimes (a '72 4-door and a '70 2-door) between '95 and 2011 I sold my unfinished project car when I had a kid. Now a few years later I'm looking to re-dime my family. I was a long time member of the bluebirds mailing list and I'm pretty sure I had an account on this forum at ...
