Re: Duke's'72 Carbed KA project
Usually the Golden Gate Lotus Club (http://www.gglotus.org/), since they offer a huge amount of track time and a very laid back vibe. Plus lots of little low-ish powered cars to play with, and I seem to know a few Elise owners. I'm actually going to T-Hill on Friday to run the new 5 mile supertrack ...

Yeah I've been watching eBay, but when I've seen OEM ones, >$100 and I figured a crummy used one is best if I'm just going to rebuild it.

Final nag!
Shawn, if I don't see a UPS tracking # in the next 3 days, I'll be using the Paypal resolution center to get my money back.
Thanks
Derek

Re: Derek's EFI-L18 4 Door MEGATHREAD
A fun YouTube Doubler of one of the above clips VS onboard footage. Obviously over-driving here in a few spots, luckily the car is a great communicator at the limit and I am confident in my ability to reign it in when necessary. http://www.youtubedoubler.com/?video1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwa...

Re: Derek's EFI-L18 4 Door MEGATHREAD
M-m-m-mega update! I did an event in April this year at Laguna, not much to say about it really. I originally signed up with the intention of taking my GTI to run thru a set of used NT-01s I got (bought them for the wheels that they were on), but then I chickened out at the last minute as I didn't w...

Re: Random rear end banging noise post track-day
Thanks for the replies everyone. I haven't had a chance to dig into it, but I will let you know what I find. Have a sinking suspicion that Baz is the winner here. Everything else looks tight and it is too loud and aggressive a noise to be happening in a visible area without showing any signs. Baz - ...

Hey Karnutz, no replies to my PMs, so I am moving my nagging into your thread. Still waiting on shipping info for the idler arm assembly I paid for in early September, was "lost in shipping" and then resent in October allegedly via UPS.
Thanks,
Derek

Re: Random rear end banging noise post track-day
Yeah, that was my first though and my rear most hanger was loose on my first road-side stop, and I tightened it up, no movement from the exhaust when grabbed and shook. It does not fit through the rear x-member very well though and rattles pretty bad anyway on the best of days. I'm familiar with the...

Random rear end banging noise post track-day
I was up at Thunderhill this Saturday running my car on the track, and it went great, but on the drive home the back end of my car started to make a random banging noise from what seemed to be the left rear while driving on the highway (straight ahead, accel/decel didn't seem to make a difference). ...

Re: WTB: OEM Idler Arm Assembly, L16/L18 Crank Pulley, Ashtr
Duke -- great! I am moving over to Bluetooth/Android for my Megasquirt communications and my hacked up ashtray can be relieved of duty.
Karnutz -- are you willing to ship to California? I am looking for the arm and the pivot that bolts to the car.
Thanks!
Derek

WTB: OEM Idler Arm Assembly, L16/L18 Crank Pulley, Ashtray
Hi dudes, looking to get to a couple of projects on my car and I need these parts to get started! OEM Idler Arm Assembly any condition, as I will be installing the Experimental Engineering kit into it. Crank Pulley for L16/L18 -- doing an EDIS conversion so maybe the timing marks don't matter, so an...
