280ZX brake failure warning light valve
I was wondering if since I've changed over to 280ZX front brakes if I need to change the valve block on the fender well to one from same. Or are they the same? I haven't changed the master cylinder yet, waiting to see if the stock on will work OK, since PO installed a new one...If it is necessary to...

L20 turbo
I had a 510 in the mid '80's that had a turbo kit installed, L20b... Cast exhaust manifold I think...Intake flange for an SU...1.5 inch SU which if leaned out to idle OK and run at partial throttle around town was ok. Full throttle and you got a blown head gasket out of the deal. knowing what I know...

Re: Front short strut inserts whats available in 2019?
Well...Cartel...You just answered all of my unasked questions..I thought the springs might be a little much for the Tokico's, and my retinas. funwithmonkeys I believe you have a customer. I'll send you a pm. RMS, I read on a post where you can relocate the TC rod but can't remember where. Do you thi...

Re: Front short strut inserts whats available in 2019?
I have a set of Tokico BZ1085 fronts for an '86 MR2 that I apparently bought by mistake. They are the exact same length as the stock 280ZX inserts, 14 7/8 ". With uncut ZX strut housings, will this combo lower the car at all? Also Eibach 2 1/2 X 8 X 275#....

Looking for a 720 shifter, the one with the rectangular block at the pivot in particular. That said, a shifter for a dogleg is what i ultimately need. I can modify, blah blah blah. Whatcha got?

Re: dogleg trans info
I thought coupes were 2 door and sedans were 4 door. It's a left hand drive 2door whatever that is. Anyway, thanks for the help. I assume by a good release bearing you mean oem, which would be? There is no speedo drive in the 63 so I hope the one in the 4 speed will work. I didn't realize that you c...

dogleg trans info
It turns out the trans I got with my '70 coupe is a 63W dogleg. From what I can gather it is the same length as the 4 speed ,26.5 inches. Will it bolt up to the stock crossmember? With the same mount? Will the throwout arm and bearing from the 4 sp. work on it? and anything else you guys think I mig...

Re: Tie rod ends
It finally hit me. the L suffix, as in 487L, is for left hand threads, not the left side of the car. Also, the PO put the drivers side tie rod on backwards. That threw me too. Not until I found a factory diagram did I see that the longer end on both rods attaches to the center link so that they will ...

Re: coilover sleeve kit
Yeah, that what I figured. Turns out, judging by pics of calipers I found, the right side mystery strut is from a late '70's 210 and it's 2" also. So, I ordered a set of 2.08 ID tubes and 2.5 ID perches and caps...
