Re: missed message

I thought that maybe my comment (in jest) that pictures had not been posted in a timely matter was taken seriously, and I was out. Or I also had a thought that maybe Californians were banned. Or maybe the realm went entirely Canadian.

Where are your priorities? Really - relaxation and groceries? Before pics? Unacceptable.

Re: New Clutch Slips

Do you have the correct fork for the transmission? Also - when you say auto adjust? Not sure what you mean by that. If you adjust it so there is more free play between fork and piston, the clutch should be fully engaged. That would be a first check - I don't remember what the manual says - but I wou...

Re: one smashed up 2 door 510

If its a dogleg 63a - its likely from a 200sx. The z trannies were 71b.
Shorter tail so no need for driveshaft mod to swap in.

Re: Brake Master Question

I like the idea of nothing changing but the clevis position and the master increasing in size, and it still works the same. Intriguing.

Re: Brake Master Question

I could see that - but I would imagine the offset clevis would still have some axial pressure on the master - I may have to draw that out and see how it could work.

Re: Brake Master Question

That is interesting. Would the geometry change of the modified clevis position run the risk of added wear etc to the master?

Re: Brake Master Question

Heel/toe is different for me - I wear a size 13. I'm also 6'-6" - with my seat mounted back I'm comfortable. I have a converted from auto car, and the accel pedal is closer to the brake pedal (I'm good with it). I'm going to get a 7/8" and try it and see what it does. Then I can mess with it from th...

Re: Brake Master Question

Been doing a little more research. From the math I have done and seen - the change from 3/4" to 7/8" master - changing nothing else - will result in a 36% increase in pedal stiffness. This may be fine - and if/when I got zx brakes will be beneficial. Wondering what downside would be in either extend...

Re: Brake Master Question

Thanks for the info. I think I will head this route - will end up with a different pedal feel as I have stock calipers. If its an issue I can always go back the 3/4" and the K&N filters. Or get to fabrication and do the pivot....Nothing is perfect on my car - so I can "massage" as necessary.
