Re: The White Sloth Project
Looks awesome! I riveted the bottom of my valence in place, but as I was doing it, I was thinking there was probably no point to doing it and some sort of tape/rubber to stop rattles would have been enough.

Re: Nick's 1972 4 Door - Ontario Rust....
Thanks for the compliments!
Right now it's just the stock engine with a weber DGEV that I have to re-jet.
I have to lower the front more, so I plan on doing coilovers front and rear, and new wheels. Then will look at what engine swap. I want to do SR20DET, but may do something else.

Nick's 1972 4 Door - Ontario Rust....
Hi, I originally had 2 cars, (both build were started to be posted here, and then I stopped working on them). One car was too far gone, so I got rid of it. After life took over, the second car was sitting, barely being worked on. I decided this year to get it a concentrated effort to at least get it...

Re: Rear Door and Trunk Rubber Bumpers
Thanks for the replys. I tried to 82865-21010 from an online Nissan dealer (along with every other seal/rubber on the car :D ) and after 7 months of waiting they said none were available, but I think they looked up a few part numbers and gave up :D I'll try my local Nissan first and see what they sa...

Rear Door and Trunk Rubber Bumpers
Does anyone know where I can get proper sized bumpers for the rear doors and trunk? Here is the new ones I got from Datsunlandsocal and the originals. http://images9.fotki.com/v1543/photos/1/594291/11087542/SDC18198-vi.jpg http://images60.fotki.com/v367/photos/1/594291/11087542/SDC18195-vi.jpg I tri...

Hey guys, havn't been on in a long time. I had the car on hold because life got in the way, but have done a little more. sorry for the bad pics! I put bed liner on the floor and the trunk and have almost got the bodywork flat: http://images51.fotki.com/v423/photos/5/594291/5945482/IMAGE_075-vi.jpg h...

Re: A. Datsun 3800
Yeah, that one would, but I hear it won't hold up to much more then a stock L67. I'd be looking at a 5 or 6spd from a camaro (with a V8) and an adaptor plate. I know they do it in autrailia. Also I hear that the Toyota R154 Supra Turbo 5-speed can be bolted to a 3800 using a 96-00 Dodge Dakota 2.5L ...

Re: A. Datsun 3800
Nice choice. I was looking at doing an L67 engine (3.8L SC engine from the Grand Prix GTP) mated to an RWD tranny. It's still at the back of my mind because I know 2 guys with stock engine cars with turbo running 500hp. I think that would be ample in the Datsun.

Everything you need to know about swaps: http://www.dimequarterly.tierranet.com/articles/engineswapguidept1.shtml There is more, in depth info about the KA swap on that site. It has also been covered quite well in various project threads on this site. Back to Frank's new 4dr... Thanks for the info,...

Re: Franks new 4 door
Looks really good.
What is needed to perform the swap? I assume a reversed crossmember. What else needs to be cut? (floors, driveshafts ect).
I have a KA24e that I got when I bought a 240sx for $100. I was thinking of installing it for a little more power in my car.
Thanks!

Re: Pro Grabit Broken Bolt Removal Tool
not only help get the drill in the center, but also help get the bolt loosened if it's tight on the threads.thisismatt wrote:Did you use any heat or penetrating oil?
A punch to make a little divot in the centers as a drill start will help.
