Re: '69 510 - Lysholm Twin-Screw Project
I couldn't remember the direction of installation for this seal so I installed it as in the picture. If anyone has a differing opinion I'm open to it. IMG_1701.jpg Saw no one answered this question so here it is. If you installed exactly like the picture shows, it's backwards. Ha! Well, it's in the...

Re: '69 510 - Lysholm Twin-Screw Project
Surprising to see the NZefi coil pack on the other side of the world! Engine bay looks great. Yeah it's a nice bracket they make, took a bit to googling to find it! The firewall and shock tower have a lot of holes in them from various configurations over the years. Once I get this new EFI system so...

Re: '69 510 - Lysholm Twin-Screw Project
On the topic of "engine block and valve cover venting to a catch can", I was evaluating my existing setup and am baffled at a choice I made along the way. My engine block vent tube currently has a -10 AN fitting welded on the end, which I'm just now noticing that the ID only 1/2", whe...

Re: '69 510 - Lysholm Twin-Screw Project
Well I got some parts in and put some wrench time in on the car a few weeks ago. I finally pulled the trigger and mounted the coils and fuel filter. IMG_1440.jpg The firewall is filling up fast so I'm not sure where I'm going to eventually put the remote oil mount. I might be able to put it on the s...

Re: '69 510 - Lysholm Twin-Screw Project
THAT is a very cool idea! And well executed! Thanks! The guys on the Motec forum gave me this advice which I figured was worth sharing: From a heat point of view you wont have any issues mounting it like that, Don't bother with the fan it won't make any useful difference, unless your have extremely...

Re: '69 510 - Lysholm Twin-Screw Project
Here's the render for my mount for the Motec M130 and PDM 15. Since the car is a sleeper I thought it would be nice to hide these behind the OEM speaker cowl (which I've been wanting to install for years). I'll have to cut the top out to make room of the harness plugs, and on the bottom I may use a ...

Re: '69 510 - Lysholm Twin-Screw Project
My buddy tells me he's seen my car more in the air than on the ground, and for the moment he's right. IMG_0882.JPG I basically need to nut and bolt the entire car since I've been messing with almost every system or subsystem, and I don't remember if I just hand tightened things together over the yea...

Re: Intercooler installation
Thanks for posting, very cool solution! If I can figure out the engineering, I'll be supercharging my motor, and the blower will be on the passenger side of the engine, so I'd have to pipe the SC outlet over to the driver side like you have it. I hear what you are saying about heat soaking and doubl...

Re: Cam sensor on L-Series
this is a crude sketch of what I was thinking about, but realizing it never went anywhere because other things in life have been higher priority gray = a lump of threaded steel, perhaps with some kind of favorable tip geometry (a flathead screwdriver blade kind of idea, to focus the magnetic field....

Re: '69 510 - Lysholm Twin-Screw Project
At some point when the car was sitting my master cylinder decided to spring a leak. It dripped down on the driver frame rail and since then the paint has been slowly coming up in large sheets. I've done my best to neutralize the brake fluid but the engine compartment will certainly need to to be str...
