Re: moved back to CO, time to raise Tweety back up

Yes, Durango. Its been a good move. I keep encountering great looking dirt all over the place; its pretty vast in this part of the state. Whenever I'm with my wife in the 510 now, she's like "lets put the 510 back up where your 510 was in college. Set it up for CO!" That was 1990 and we dr...

Re: moved back to CO, time to raise Tweety back up

Thanks for the spring recs. I hadn't gotten as far as shopping for the tires yet but I was probably gonna do a 185/60/14 or 185/70/14 snow tire or maybe an all season radial on my VTO (Futofab) Libre replicas, which are 14x6. If you wanted narrower than that, I'd guess you could fit a 175/70 on ther...

moved back to CO, time to raise Tweety back up

Hi all, Been a while. I moved from CA where I had my 510 setup fairly low and softish with Suspension techniques springs in front and cut front roadster springs in back over Tokico Blue's, stock front sway bar, no sway bar in back, front camber -1 with stock spring hats and old school camber plates,...

Re: 1971 Datsun 1600 SSS For Sale (not mine)

I agree with Byron. I found this thing very interesting and cool. The euro interior is sweet, I wonder if that is stock over there? The SSS kit is cool with the carbs, and the A87 head (could be a peanut head, maybe not, I've heard of both types of combustion chambers stamped as A87). More than anyt...

Re: Brad's '69 project

Wow, I'm surprised to see you selling this. Massive respect for an incredible, inspiring build. Good luck with whatever the next project or chapter is for you after the sale. I think BaT is a good place to sell a car this nice.

Re: For Sale - 1970 Datsun 510 2 door VG33 Project

Wow. REALLY nice car. I am not surprised that it sold very quickly. There is a lot of very overpriced nonsense on the market and this does not fall into that category. Fantastic ad and a much respect for a tasteful build. I haven't wanted to buy another 510 in a while but this one made me want to bu...

Re: spark issue

New plugs solved it. It started immediately after putting them in and feels like it might have a little more power by the seat dyno. THE REALM RULES!!! I just donated to show my support. What a great site, keeping our hot rods alive. Massive thanks for your help Mike and Rob. Mike, your explanation ...

spark issue

Ignition gurus chime in… I've got an LZ22 running a single point distributor converted to Pertronix 25K miles ago with great results. The coil is original. The plug wires are fresh. The cap and rotor are fresh. The plugs are NGK with 10K miles on them and look like they are in very good condition. T...

The factory one that mounts under the dash just to the right of the the steering column and utilizes a steering column bolt.

I don't need the cable, only the mount.

Please PM me for a quick response.

Thanks!

Stock front rotor source

Hi all, I'm trying to locate stock front rotors for a 510. I'm hoping for something of reasonable quality rather than the cheap ones from Pep Boys that are quick to warp. I've been running a pair of NISMO cross drilled ones with Hawk blue pads and they have been fantastic for years, but they are sta...

Re: Forrest's 71

Glad to see you got her back on the road Forrest!!

I'm sorry I missed the Fautline again this year. Looks like a great time.

LOVIN those dirt sections! I know many of those roads and they are some of the best Central Cali has to offer.

Beautiful.

I would not be surprised at all if someone buys it at that price. It is done very very nicely.

Re: FOR SALE.. 1970 datsun 510

I concur also. Very nice car. Original paint and interior? Fantastic. Original paint in the engine compartment? Really fantastic, and it looks clean under there also. The driver side of the body looks straight. If the passenger side and the back of this car look as good as the rest of it, I think it...

Re: Bring a trailer 510

Unreal car. Worth that and more, maybe a lot more to a 4 door lover. A dream car for me really because of the paint. I think I'd be a little scared to ding it up. Killer paint. I've never seen a factory black 510 in the 25 years I've been into them, let alone something this nice. Incredible! Lets ho...
