Re: Pilkington Windshields - Easy and new Availability

For those who purchased and recieved one of these windshields, did the tint come on it and is it the whole windshield or just a strip across the top? Because mine has neather.

Re: 72' 510 Horn Wiring / Momo Corse Wheel Assy

Defdes your going to need that whole contact piece and wire that screws down around the shaft. Start asking if anyone has this part or you could possibly make one but I'd get an original.

Re: Pilkington Windshields - Easy and new Availability

I took my vernier caliper today and stopped in at work. My 1973 factory screen measured 6.8MM Pilkington Spare # 1 was 5.8 mm Pilkington Spare # 2 was 6.2 mm All were measured in the top middle. My windshield came in yesterday so I measured it's thickness with my metric vernier caliper and 6.5mm or...

Hey ASHTC510 I'm in Southern NH. If your looking for parts as in suspension, front swaybar for the KA24DE swap and big brakes FUTOFAB.com is your best friend. He's in Dunbarton, NH in the Manchester area. Exactly what are you looking at for suspension and brake mods? Like SR installs, your going to ...

Re: Another source of valve lash pads

Someone on hybridZ from the UK mentioned a source for lash pads from a company I had not heard from before. They are Precision Shims from Australia precisionshims.com.au They have both flat bottom and recessed bottom (like stock) lash pads in any thickness. They have stock thicknesses in 0.5 mm ste...

Re: Pilkington Windshields - Easy and new Availability

I just ordered one. They charged $50 for shipping. Total was $252.99 Price of the glass must have gone up. It is now listed at $202.99 I will post again once it arrives. The windshield arrived today. Ordered on 7/10 and arrives 7/13. Pretty fast via UPS Freight. Came home and it was on my porch. I ...

FYI - i ordered one June 1st, and received it in about week and half. Had it installed with a new seal, good to go.
What did they charge you for shipping/freight?

Re: A clearer picture of my wheel bearing issues

Pulled everything apart this evening. Spacer is 'B'. WheelBearing_Spacer.jpg No way my micrometer can fit to measure the distance, nor could I spot a stamping on the trailing arm. RearPassengerTrailArm.jpg As before the inner bearing (SKF 6202-2RS1) popped out very easy. The outer bearing however n...

Re: Headliner install

Ice cream sticks? That's a great idea. I used my old removed pinch weld door stripping cut in 4" lengths and simply pushed it up on around the material and clamps where needed but unlike you, I glued on both sides of the pinch weld and wrapped the headliner material up and around to the outside just...

Re: Noobie's 510 project

Thanks to everyone for the information. Most helpful. New parts arrive this wknd and then I'll dive in and confirm the spacer letter and see if the new SKF bearings have a more snug fit. Andrew, last year's bearing was on the driver's side. It's since been good once replaced and I followed Realm re...

Re: Noobie's 510 project

You know, if it's a tap fit at all, it's enough to make sure the bearing is centered in the housing - which is all that's needed. When installed the bearing is torqued down against the shoulders on either side on the outer race, and the matching spacer (A,B,C) ensures that the inner races have the ...

Re: Quick update

Thanks for the suggestions. If it slides out of the swing arm easily? it's possible the bearings OD is incorrect. Easy enough that a light tap knocks it out - a far cry from the original process of bearing puller etc... I don't think it's the OD sizing because I've sampled old bearings and they too...

Thanks! I think I have it all sorted now. Just need to find the correct bolts in the bin of all bolts...
Wouldn't the bolts from the auto trans isolator work if you have them?

I'm looking for a parking brake cable/housing.

Basically the entire unit that connects to the under-dash lever, through the firewall, and down along the transmission tunnel to the swing arm.

Thanks!
I have a pair of cables from the crossmember to the wheel cylinders.

Re: 2018 Canby show, June 8,9&10th, Clackamas county fairgrounds

I see that has now been forecast, rain through the whole corridor from Vancouver to Canby, Friday, Sat and Sunday. No interest in going if raining, not going to risk my car on I-5 with race tires on, let alone slime city for 12+ hours. Puta! just kidding. Hell I drove from NH along with Kenny...
