Personally I'm not looking up numbers so maybe to ease identification posting picture would be better.

Re: Reversed front crossmember

Hey Abe

That's strange in that the one I have wouldn't line up. I know it's from a '72 510 and it isn't bent and mine is a '69. Wonder if that's the difference? Yeah the reason I did mine was because I was old it'll bolt up with just a bit of elongating the crossmembers holes.

thanks

Re: WTB Release Bearing Holder for 4spd transmission

The clutch kit I bought from rockauto didn't include the collar, and it seemed like the most complete kit. I'll measure the distance Saturday when I have a chance. Thanks for all the help! want to get my dime going again! Don't forget that the clutch and pressure plate have to be bolted to the flyw...

Re: Reversed front crossmember

I did this exact same mod on a crossmember when I was doing my SR. But the crossmembers mounting holes were so far off from the bodys mounting holes I didn't use the crossmember because I didn't want to elongate them that much in fear of compromising strength. Did to check to see how close or far of...

They Do? I've never gotten a collar with any aftermarket clutch. Now I've gotten the throwout bearing but not the collar.

Re: WTB Release Bearing Holder for 4spd transmission

The Collars are not matched to the type of transmission, only the clutch. It's all about the height of the pressure plates fingers when bolted to the flywheel. The 510 clutch is 200mm diameter and isn't listed here but someone has the collars dimentions.

Re: 2.3L of fun

Typically the ring and pinion free play is about .006" in which you'll see in the stub as "Free Rotation" You can pull the diffs rear cover and setup a dial indicator on a magnetic base and check that play. I'm sure you probably already know this, it's just that I'm a bit bored at wor...

Re: License Plate Attachment

I'm using stainless socket head capscrews with nylock nuts. Thinking is if someone wanted to steal my plates #1 who carries allen wrenches and #2 that nylock nut is going to only spin around unless you can get a socket on it but you'd then have to get the trunk open and by that time I'd likely have ...

That is an awesome fix. Some delrin tubing will be the best fix option.

I can see that line has been corrected. Don't know about anyone else but I can see the line continuing up and around the backside.
