So I'd like to share my idea. Maybe someone has done it before. Seems most good ideas aren't new. So here is what I had in mine. First picture. Nissan 4X4 stub axle out of an R180 which will also fit a R160. On top is a VW CV axle, a type 2 or whatever comes on these kits we install into our 510's....

The Sti R180 has Torsen which has instant lock compared to clutch type. For $200 to $300 it's a bargain. I used to leave some pretty gnarly rubber marks with my 2013 Sti diff in my 510. Locked every time no problem. STI R180 Torsen for $200-$300 where? am I dreaming? I've never seen a 2013 Torsen S...

There are 8 "D" bolts for the diff flange and eight 6 point bolts for the axle flange. Riley at Lynchburg nissan has them I got a set a couple months ago.
I was curious about that also, as even with our 94 octane pump fuel, we need to run a very good octane booster. I do not think you get any better than 91 octane in the U.S.? Here in NH we have 93 and 94 though 94 is a tougher customer to find, it's out there Oh, and quite a few Sunoco stations sell...
Wow your engine isolators are really stressed. Looks to me like all you need to do is modify the steel engine mount to properly fit the stock 510 isolators sitting in their original stock position on the crossmember. This is what I did for my SR but I did it with everything out of the car. If the di...
Northeast cruse would be fun. Listen, use the Z trans isolator and just shim it until you get your desired trans height. Yeah that poly isolator combined with the engines poly isolators would create a buzz box fer-sure and is what I've always heard. I run the Z trans isolator and stock 510 rubber mo...
Thanks for sharing that's awesome. I'm in Southern, NH Danville and live about 45 minutes from Futofab Dave in Dunbarton, NH. When your ready to go pick up parts let me know, maybe we can go up together or I can meet you there. It'll be nice meeting another 510er though there are others in Ma, Maine...

Puta, I mean it's just a bit of heat and sweat 8>) I've been driving my 510 since the build `97 to now with no AC just a heater and summers here in NH aren't exactly cool as we have temps and high humidity too granted not quite like the South but still. When I lived in Southern Ca my 510 also did no...

Did some rough engine bay work tonight with the drill and a sanding disk. Going to give the entire bay a pass with it before moving to some finer stuff by hand. Then can go about filling unwanted holes and smoothing everything out Don't forget about your upper and lower unibody channels. Being out ...
