Re: Datsport 1/4 window glass to frame seal issues.

Try placing the cut outs behind the latch first then insert the rest of the seal. I've never installed these before so!!!!

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

Painted my front replacement bumper and installed. Also installed lower splash/Belly pan I modified to protect the SR oil pan. It isn't a rock guard but more for keeping the front of the pan from getting bombarded with road debri as it's so exposed up front. pan.jpg blkbmp2.jpg blkbmp.jpg belly.jpg

Re: Muffler selection. Magic solution needed.

I don't know what motor you are running but most L-series below 150hp are fine with a 2" exhaust. Pair that with as long of a resonator that you can find and a Walker Quiet-Flow muffler and you should be happy. Exactly!! I'm running a S14 SR20DE N/A with Tomie Poncams and 10lb aluminum flywhee...

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

It’s funny how few of these pans are still left on 510’s! If the pan survived the first oil change, it usually was removed when the sway bar was replaced for the performance oreintated driver. The clip the slid under the sway bar mount the held the captive nut which secured the back side of the pan...

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

Modified my belly pan to add some protection to the front of the SR's oil pan. Dam dude that came out sick. Wish I had one of those.. Thanks Futofab sells the belly pans if you need one. But if you have an SR in your 510 then you be cutting. There are certainly i'm sure better options but well, I w...

Sorry, what I meant was why not use an incandesant bulb instead of the led within the gauge?

Re: Getting Control Arms Back In!

Yeah they were very very tight. Got one side in so tomorrow will go after the other side. Not much wisdom to pass on here...going to use even more lube on the other sides. That and a jack and a big rubber mallet was what I used. Tired now! Do the Whiteline bushing have an inner steel tube running t...

So why not use a regular incadescent bulb?

Re: Speedhut High beam dash indicator

I’ve installed 7 gorgeous Speedhut gauges and the gps speedometer I ordered has signal indicators and a high beam indicator led. It’s a single blue wire intended to provide a 12 positive signal to the led when high beams are activated. But of course our Datsun have a switched ground headlight syste...

None on there bud. Just a s14 DE valve cover.

I'm pretty sure their much the same. Only difference is if you want to use a top plate to cover the coils you'll have to drill and tap the provided areas.

Re: CV axles. Adapters are dumb. Gotta be a better way

I'm sure there are guys who haven't had an issues. I find that driving a 510 daily vs. fair weather really impacts the wear on parts. I drive my 510 every day, autox it up to 3 times in one month, each autox I do about 20 laps. I run the R888r's on it daily and drive it like I stole it, clutch kick...
