Re: Front Sway Bar Help

Is it possible you've recieved a swaybar for a SR motor install? Looking at your picture I see if the crossmember center section was reversed like it would be for the SR, the swaybar would easily clear. Putting the car on the ground would easily put your swaybar against the stock crossmember.

Re: Another 72 510

No, no worries on the comment. This would be an inside story between Rob and Jason from a project many years back - not negative at all, but a good story to share in person. Why don’t you all attend the Christmas party this year and share it, Jason (and family, Rob and Greg. As Lou might say, this ...

Re: Chinese made aftermarket windshields

I have installed a Pilkington screen on one of my cars, and what I can say against the Chinese glass is that it is thicker and sits in the OEM rubber much better than the Chinese ones do and the Pilkington is closer to the OEM glass thickness. It’s still a bit thinner, but it’s a lot closer. As far...

Re: Chinese made aftermarket windshields

I've been running a Pro Source windshild since `97 and though it does have pits and one chip I chock that up to yearly runs to Summit Point WV since `99, Road Atlanta 2010, Canby 2017, North Carolina-Maryland runs just to see friends and typical New Hampshire, Massacheuttes, Maine and Vermont roads ...

Re: Noob build

Sounds exactly like this stuff from Eastwood. It goes on like paint which allows it to seep into all those you want it to go places then dries to a self healing film.

Re: Noob build

Welding will simply bubble the POR-15 and expose raw metal for a fresh coast of rust. I'd recommend going back in through the back side and adding a fresh coat in those areas.

Maybe! A close side to side comparison with Nathan Marshall's 510 would need to be performed first.

Re: How to: Rejuvenate Calipers and Hubs

Rebuilding the calipers is pretty straight forward, new seals, boot, piston, maybe sliders, degreasing, paint. One thing you need to know is removing the piston. Put a block of wood in front of the piston thick enough to leave about a 1" space. Remove zirk fitting and pressurize the the piston ...

I suppose if you were to bring a load of parts. The 2010 Mitty saw I believe just a couple of sites with parts. It's a crap shoot on that.

Re: CV Failure

Let me know if you get any vibration upon acceleration after the install of those bushings. I have the same ones and put the narrower one on top like you and after many measurements of my driveline angle came to realize that I need to swap them and put the thicker one on top which should get my ang...

Re: CV Failure

Well, I broke down and purchased a set of Troy's newly designed axles with zero axle spline to CV rotation. New design looks like a mirror image of Futofab axles as far as spline design. Axle.jpg Installed 2004 Subi CLSD with 3:90 ratio New Diff.jpg and new Whiteline crossmember bushings. Bush.jpg N...
