Re: HELP! steering part rubbing against tire

i only took off the spacer so that i can transport my car to another city as i am moving. My car is far from being complete and will not be drivable for a while yet. I do plan on keeping the 13" rims and using shorter bump steer spacer will do the trick.

Re: HELP! steering part rubbing against tire

i removed the bump steer spacers and all is fine now. I think if I use the 1" bump steer spacers it will be fine as well.

Re: HELP! steering part rubbing against tire

what am i looking for on this site?

http://www.designproductsracing.com/510 ... nsion.html

The only part rubbing on the wheels is the rubber boot of the tie rod. I imagine a wheel spacer would fix the problem.

Re: HELP! steering part rubbing against tire

i did have to grind the calipers a bit because they did rub in the front. Will it continue to rub if i eliminated the bump steer spacers? What about using 280zx steering knuckles? I really want to keep the libre wheels.

Re: HELP! steering part rubbing against tire

yes, steering knuckle! The angled part, where the tie rod mounts to, is where it's rubbing. I've attached a picture of it mounted on the drivers side on my car. I think it's on right.

HELP! steering part rubbing against tire

I dont know the exact name for the part that is rubbing against the wheel but its short, flat, and tie rods and ball joint attach to it. well, it's rubbing against my 13x7 libre wheels. Is it possible that i got the right and left side mixed up? If not, what do i do?

thanks.

Re: 510 parts in Port Moody

is there any damage, dents or root, on the passenger door? I see surface rust but that about it.

FS: 280zx strut tubes, strut inserts, and calipers

I have a set of 280zx strut tubes with newish stock strut inserts sitting in my garage that i have no use for anymore. Completely stock setup with no hubs. I also have a set of disassembled front calipers for rebuild or core trade. Not sure what it's worth, perhaps $100.

Re: FREE stuff

are you looking to take all of it? There is someone already interested in the tires but if you are willing to take all of it them its all yours. Tomorrow, Sunday, is the best time for me. My cell is 778-988-6727. Call me to arrange a pick up time.

Cheers,
Manuel.

Re: **FREE**: five stock Datsun 510 rims with winter tires

The tires and rims are now FREE. I would rather give them away to some one who might actually use them instead of recycling them. However, if no one wants them then i will recycle them.

Cheers.
