Knox Mountain Hillclimb 2018

As we are one month away from the Hillclimb, I thought I would just throw this out there. I am planning to drive up there for the Saturday in my G35 and do my usual meet and greet, hike the hill, lunch on the hill, back down, say hi again and drive back to Vancouver. Weather will be looked at as we ...

Re: 15x6.5 +15 or 15x7 0 offset?

They were 13 " x 20" tall by 9.5 inches wide, with the cantilever sidewall, super stick at the time. Likely moved more than todays tires in reality, just thought I would mention it as something to be aware off, you never know.

Have some fun this summer....

Would you like to have some fun this summer...call Cindy at.....no..wait...that is another ad.. I have my Yokohama 048's that are coming off the car this week. Re: 15x6.5 +15 or 15x7 0 offset?

Just a word of caution with the tire so close to the strut. If you are cornering hard, keep an eye on the sidewall at that point. Even when I ran race slicks with a finger width of clearance, the tire deflection had the tire hitting the strut. And that was with a cantilever tire with rock hard sidew...

Re: 15" Riken Mesh wheels for sale

Sorry, I should have put that on there. They are 7" and a 205/50 tire is the best combo IMHO.

I am sure they are ZERO offset but can check that next week for sure as they are at work. I do have the axel caps for them also.

Re: 2.3L of fun

Most I ever did was 140 MPH through the canyon with the Malcinator, that was beyond stupidly fast in a 510, and the car, even with my air dam was really starting to get "floaty"

Re: 2.3L of fun

I did have a transmission once with that .759, hated it for racing ( hillclimbs) Even with 20" tall race tires and the revs up there, when I would go to 5th at the hillclimb, the car just laid down, felt like a wet dish rag. That 5th gear set up is only if you really want and can pull some top ...

Re: 2.3L of fun

I am happy with my ratios and my 4:62 combo. On 20" or 21" race tires, it was dynamic, as 2nd and 3rd were awesome at most of our solo's back in the day, before the course's got stupidly small and short. It helped to have that 8,000 RPM redline too. 1) 2.906 2) 1.902 3) 1.308 4) 1.000 5) ....

Re: 2.3L of fun

As these Transmission are "Unobtanium" now, there is no amount of cash that could make me part with that.
It is in MINT condition, I was so lucky to score that.

I still think those 15 would look GREAT on you car......
