Re: Headlight fix

I actually spent spent some of this morning both jacking up my car for the half shaft test fit and, un-bolting my seat to get ready for dash module removal. I have thought of all sorts of scenarios for wiring issues, so until I get to and test the switch, we won't know what the next step will be. I ...

Re: Jordan's '72 2 door KA project

The engineer that developed my original kit..often said...it is the FIRST 5 - 10 PSI that gets the job done..the rest is gravy. Stay away from detonation in all aspects of throttle use and you will be just fine, never mess with that. My latest engine is now heading into is it's 17th year of use and ...

Re: Jordan's '72 2 door KA project

NICE! I was ( still am) impressed with Matt's KA ( now Jason's). I could see the torque when we headed up the Duffy Lake on one of our drives, the steep climb from Lillooet Lake. Really seemed like a broad band in that motor. Just seemed like a good way to go without having a high RPM motor. I'm sur...

Re: NANKANG AR-1 group buy

I have had experience with that and as I usually say, the sidewall flex can become an issue with the larger tire not pulled out on a proper bead width. A 225 is a taller tire so that extra bit contributes to some flex. Is it a deal breaker...really depends truly on how hard you drive and the work yo...

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

The end of the 2018 driving season for me. This year was also the end of an era, having been able to store my car at my place of work for 34 years, how lucky I was! That is the one thing I miss about work in retirement..MY GARAGE. I tested my lighting this past Monday at Specialty, to try and determ...

Re: Headlight fix

Thanks to Robyn, I picked up a relay and headlight switch.

Today I tried the relay and even though it clicked nice and solidly, the lights did not come on.

Let the mining begin.....

Re: Headlight fix

Good point, lets hope mine is fixable. Worst case, I put my knob on the switch so at least it looks correct...want to keep my car stock looking.....

Are you at the yard all day then?

Let me know EXACTLY when you are coming, I will get Datsun jacked up if I can. At the moment there is room for me to work on the car as my son in laws trailer is down in California getting modded.

Re: Headlight fix

WELL...NOBODY showed up so that offer is off the table..... So, after doing all that Rob suggested, and, checking power in so many places, it appears that the switch is the issue. When I get some more time I will peel the seat out and begin the mining operation to get at the switch. I hope I can rep...
