Re: 2018 Summer Drive

Morning Alveen,

I do not store my car at the plant any more, I retired back at the beginning of May. I will be leaving from South Surrey at about 4:15-4:30, heading out 16th to ultimately feed onto #1 at Mt.Lehman Road around 5, usually takes me 1/2 hour with no traffic on 16th.

Re: 2018 Summer Drive

I'm going to think it will be around 10'ish to 10:30.

If we spend an hour at the lookout 7 - 8 AM, then gas stop in Princeton....hang around the park for a few hours, pictures, .......

Re: 2018 Summer Drive

The Great Rolling Dyno awaits us, hope everyone can make it. I'm ready to roll out at 4:30, should feed in at Mt.Lehman road to #1 about 5 AM. Should be at the Chevron by 5:30 too. Finished up the 510 prep this afternoon, weather still looks to be perfect. Lets hope the smoke from the Okanagan fires...

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

I fired the beast up this morning and headed to the car wash first. I carefully just sprayed some engine cleaner under my catch can and some wiring, and then around my steering box. Gave it a quick blast to rinse off and got rid of the oil haze from those areas. Then drove into my old work place and...

Re: 2018 Summer Drive

Weather window looks to be perfect so we are a go! We will try to leave the Chevron at 6:00 and go DIRECTLY to the top at the Cascade Lookout for photo op. Should a pee break be required hit the lodge before heading up, but we won't doddle at the lodge. We will do a nice photo op in the rising sun, ...

Re: Pilkington Windshields - Easy and new Availability

I took my vernier caliper today and stopped in at work.

My 1973 factory screen measured 6.8MM

Pilkington Spare # 1 was 5.8 mm
Pilkington Spare # 2 was 6.2 mm

All were measured in the top middle.

Re: 2018 Summer Drive

You are likely the furthest West of all of us. I will be up at 3:30 too, as I need my wake up/coffee time. Then I have to go get my car and leave by 4:30 to be at Hope by that 5:30 - 5:45. That's ok, I'm still in early mode anyhow, my body clock has not really shifted yet since retiring. Sorry you w...

Re: Pilkington Windshields - Easy and new Availability

It is nice to have all my information in one place now....my log book says my STOCK, 1973 windshield was 7mm thick. I will stop in to my old work place and measure the Pilkington that we got on the last group buy. I'm very sure the Chinese windshield was thinner. It was in 2008 that we put the Chine...

Re: 2018 Summer Drive

Where has the time gone......here are some more of Spencer's wagon, from an Enduro Slalom we all did together in 2006. Derick, James, me, and Spencer. I was sorting some pictures out and found this in my picture files. This would have been one of the last slaloms to be held at the small course track...

Re: Swift springs

500 up front would be an extreme to say the least. Most of us on the coast run 300/inch/lbs up front and anywhere from 900 to 1,200 at the rear, as the spring is inboard from the wheel. The most we ran was 350 up front for true road racing. I run 300# in my 280ZX struts, but, you need to understand ...

Re: 2018 Summer Drive

Goes without saying to make sure cooling system is all good, we do have a good climb on the way back. As we head to weeks end I will post u...

Hey Matt, I know this was a decision that was likely hard but life does move on! Know this...That day we did a drive up the Duffy Lake, and you asked me if you were holding me up.....Like Hell you were...you had tons of torque that actually made me work at staying with you other than the tightest co...

Re: Pilkington Windshields - Easy and new Availability

I did check on our last group buy on the Pilkington's, it was 355.00 CDN all in.

Today my currency guy is at 1.3265USD, so that translates to 454.00 CDN and it would be more from the credit card companies.

If there was enough interest here again, I could check with the fellow we dealt with before.
