Re: snow day

I dug and dug but must have tossed out my studded tires for the 510. Gotta find another set. So I was stuck driving the newly acquired 1986.5 D21 4x4 which is a beast in the snow. Although it does need a turbo. Could use a bit more power. It’s no 510!!!

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

WOW!!!! The steering was great! I honestly couldn't have asked for more. Nice feedback but much less effort to steer. I had a tough time trusting it at first, I was expecting it to nub something out. It didn't though. I got first in RWD despite my R888r's are getting very very warn down. Gotta make ...

Re: 13" Wheel Rear Disc Brake Discussion

Me and Sam are working on a disk conversion for the rear of our Eunduro car. The Drums needed to be adjusted way to often and made the pedal feel yucky much to quick after re adjusted and sent back onto the track. We have a set of Z32 rear calipers and z31 rear solid rotors. Which are bigger then th...

Re: KKS Aluminum Radiators - Anyone Tried them?

we used the Champion rad in our enduro car. Worked fine but hit the L series pulley. Had to move the engine back as far as possible to get it to clear. I would imagine if this radiator is the same thickness you might run into that issue. The radiator required shims. it hit the sheet metal lip around...

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

I would have given anything for power steering when I was racing! 9.5" x 2" of rubber contact on the road was a major arm work out to say the least, specially coupled with tons of castor. My AE86 was one of the best steering cars I have driven, not over boosted and a good bit of "force feedback" th...

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

Well after having a power steering assist rack in my car for seriously years.... it's actually hooked up and working!   Yes!   At first I thought manual steering would be better for autox, more feedback which I thought would help car control.  After a buddy I raced with suggested I listen to the Con...

Re: the old stinky diff......

Very interesting chart! Haha. I think it’s a little vague. Since everyone’s throttle output is different the chart kinda makes me laugh. Same with gears, it will change the torque output through the diff. It would be fun to test all 3 back to back.

Re: the old stinky diff......

Well after collecting parts for more than a year I am finally going to get the new diff put together this week. R180 with 4.6 Datsun gear set and Cusco 1.5/2 way TYPE-RS Limited Slip Differential. The math says I should have about 59 to 61lb-ft of initial torque by how many springs I put in it. I a...

We recommend both with our rack setup. The bump is designed with 6.5 degress of caster.

Re: tire choices -- aggressive summer -VTO wheels - BS >>?

Don't know what to say..Norm expressed the SAME as I did, as have some others. They made my car UN-DRIVABLE, simple as that. Norm and I would be close in terms of where we actually use the tire, and that is CARRYING speed through a corner, where it is NOT POWER...but cornering GRIP. That is where w...
