Re: Poly TC rod bushings

This may be a real dumb question but what if you ran a heim joint with no bushings? Would that cause a major problem? Cause I just cut down my tc rods and turned the ends for some DOM tube threaded on one end to accept a 5/8 heim joint mounted to a clevis bolted to the body. thats what we ran on ou...

Re: 280ZX Strut Question

Can someone post a picture or PM me one of their front suspension so I can see what it looks like? Is this the bump stop spacer you were talking about: http://www.designproductsracing.com/images/106.jpg yes, those are the parts. I made the mistake, by calling them the wrong name, they are bump stee...

Re: 280ZX Strut Question

remember if you install the ZX struts on a 510, you have to put the left on the right and the right on the left unless you are using bump stop spacers. You ask why? because the calipers will hit the ball joints for the steering when the pads wear.

bump steer spacers is what i should have said

Re: Air Care

you have to be very careful with the amount of methanol used when you have rubber parts in the carburetor, such as pump diaphragms, tips on needle valves etc. the methanol will shrivel it all up if too much is used. There is less problems with Weber DCOE than a DGV. The pump diaphragm in Mikuni is n...

using a z24 block

So this is what Jason Grey says Big Bore 2.3L KA24 pistons into a bored Z20/Z22/L20B block. The small 2.8cc dish area of the KA24 pistons helps to preserve compression ratio even with the low piston deck height. Compression ratio with a open chambered U67 head is 9.9:1 or use dished Z24 pistons and ...

Re: KA24 based motor

thats interesting about the compression. the KA would provide better breathing however and give better top end. We have to use a 2 barrel carb.

Re: CARBS NEEDED

we can give you a good deal on a downdraft weber, 32/36 DGV or DGEV. This would be the best for an automatic. The dual webers or mikuni would sap the low end power. give me a call at 1-800-665-5031

KA24 based motor

we want to build an ultra long rod motor with a 3valve KA24 head. This is for a oval track race car. Is there any rods that will work for the Z24 or KA24 that will be the correct length when using a Z22 crank. BTW, our maximum size we are allowed is 2300 cc. We want maximum revs with lots of power. ...
