Re: SR20DE High Idle, Zombie AAC?

shadetree mech would suggest removing the idle adjust screw and spraying carb cleaner in there to break loose any gunk thats holding up the spring travel....

does it lower rpm even slightly when it reaches proper operating temp?

Re: SR20DE High Idle, Zombie AAC?

my KA had the same issue. its documented in the build. i removed the valve and replaced the soleniod but found that the spring was worn as well. the idle dropped to 1000rpm when its 180* or less. pull the valve and inspect it. chances are its crap. is the SR on the back next to the firewall as well?...

Good deal man. You can send them off to get cleaned or just chance it. Ebay has plenty for a decent price. Glad its running though. Almost time for another fun run.

Re: Whitebird

you checked for vacuum leaks on the throttle body and intake manifold I take it? one step you can perform is to keep the injectors installed but lift the fuel rail off the manifold and turn the key to on and see if there's an injector leak.

Re: WTB datsun 510 starter

yes, their interchangeable. when my direct drive died, napa gave me a gear reduction and it bolted right up. IIRC there was a mounting bolt that wasn't used when you install the gear reduction.... not a problem. the difference between the two is quite significant. the gear reduction made the car roc...

200sx disc. The fronts might have buddles still, ill try it again with the one man bleeder. That high speed missed seemed to be a plug wire to close to the compressor. It'd get hot and miss. All good now

Re: Finn's KA24DET

Bleed the brakes again and got a little stiffer pedal. I installed an inline water temp adapter I got from summit as well so I truely know what my temp is. Took it out for a nice long drive this morning and it ran great. water temp stayed around 150 so that big ass ebay radiator is doing its job... ...

Hey Monte, Is that shop for business? It looks like it is a in concrete tilt-up type building? No business, just Datsuns and other hobby stuff, basically to replace the old home shop. Whats nice about this commerical building, is that each unit is owner occupied, has 20' ceilings, 3 phase power. Th...
