Headliner bow measurements and color order

I started this post to provide a place to put headliner bows (or bars) information for future reference. Searches here and elsewhere were disappointing, lots of info on 'how" but nothing about determining order. I have to put a head liner back in a 2dr sedan this week, so I need this info. I have tw...

Re: dogleg trans info

At the moment the only ACDelco 88900399 trans fluid on amazon.ca is either $70 or $80 a litre depending on the seller. The last time I was in Lordco in BC (last fall, Kelowna and Cranbrook), I checked the cost as I wanted to buy more (it is wonderful) but the price was WAY over $17, more like $30ish...

Re: Turn Signal and Hazard Relays

There is no functional difference in turn vs hazard flashing. Use either one. If the lights don't flash, reverse the connectors and try again.

Re: summer is comming! an air conditioning saga

I'm a fan of EZ-Clip fittings for AC work. Go see New-line hose, they have all the fittings you need and can help you adapt to your equipment. New-line.com

I've done several Z and 1 510 using vintage air evap boxes (compaq and mini) and love EZ-CLip hoses. DIY, smaller hose, tight bends.

Re: B210 brake booster install

Many new vehicles are packed so tight under the hood that they put things like washer bottles in the wheel wells and provide access panels in the wheel wells to get to common service items in the engine bay that cannot be accessed without an engine pull. A couple of small carefully placed round hole...

Looks like even though the updates vary when you look at the 2 and 4 door pages, the same parts numbers are used.

Don't be afraid to bend the hinge a little to get it more centered.

I'll happily spin one off of the far-too-numerous R160's I find myself with, if you can find anything closer to home.
Drop me an email to z240@shaw.ca if you find yourself in need.

Re: can anyone tell me how to identify an L16-L18-L20

A little flat pad on the block will have a stamp, either L16, L18 or L20. Next to it is another flat spot with engine serial number

Re: Rear swing arm bolt

Bolt very tight. But you have to remove the peened over flats on that nut before doing anything else. Dremel cut off wheel is my weapon of choice. And a much longer pipe on that wrench once you get that nut flat thing handled. And maybe some very large friends to stand on the swing arm, or a much lo...

Love to see a video of that spark plug hanging in free air with nice sparks happening as you crank it. I'd have to believe in magic again.

Re: pertronix and fried spark plugs?

The plug body has to be connected to ground to get a spark. I don't understand how disconnecting it from ground could possibly result in a spark. Details and pictures will help
