Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

Took apart all my steering components including cross member and sold them two day ago. Went on James Boswell CoachWerks website and took a leap forward into the rack and pinion steering for my car. Super exited and glad I finally made my order.

Re: Rack And Pinion exploration

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Escort-MK2-Kiley-Clinton-EXTRA-HEAVY-DUTY-Steering-Quick-Rack-2-2-Turns-RHD-Gp4-/292066927807 This one? Remember the steering rack is mounted on the opposite side so it will convert it to LHD and the steering is also faster with our steering arms. So that rack will be more ...

Re: Rear Quickor sway bar issue

So, I have been down this path before with my Quickor rear bar. 1st of all, it's a 7/8" bar so that gives the correct roll stiffness to offset the longer arms vs. the more common 3/4" 510 bars. It works as good or better than any of the shorter arm 3/4" bars, plus it's 3 or 4 position adjustable, p...

FYI Installing the long diff-to-crossmember bolts from the bottom makes it possible to remove the diff from the car without having to drop the crossmember. They look to be installed from the top in your original post.
Yeah that was addressed already. Thank you

Re: Rear Quickor sway bar issue

Are you telling me that my set of NOS Quickor sway bars, that I’ve had in storage for years are scrap metal? I wouldn't toss it. I posted my brand new one on FB and sold it with in the hour. They are still highly sought out for. Only reason I got rid of mine was, it was hitting the inner wheel. Oth...

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

That's exactly what I wanted. To not see the tank. I measured this one its 6" deep the same 16 gallon one.. Sweet! Glad I was able to shed some light on it for you. The roll over vent valve will be mounted in the passenger wheel well. Im gonna weld up a bracket for it. There's really not many optio...

Re: Rear Quickor sway bar issue

I think my only choice in the matter is to uninstall it and put it up for sale. I go another route. I still have sometime before I can drive it.

Re: Rear Quickor sway bar issue

I understand, for us up here our suspensions have really been done around my setup...which morphed into the Specialty Springs, etc. This really lets us use the throttle to induce oversteer, with a car that maybe has a bit of terminal understeer at the limit, and I mean the actual final limit when t...

Rear Quickor sway bar issue

So just the other day I installed my rear Quickor sway bar I bought a year ago. Install went very smooth. I was very pleased with how it turned out. I went to install the rear wheels and thats where I encountered a problem. The rear wheel makes contact with the sway bar. I found this image online to...
