Re: Super Bounce

Huge blocks in the rear will have you on the bump stops if they are 3 inches or more and that will make your car bouonce no matter how good your shocks are.
Blocking the rear doesn't affect rear shock travel.
Make sure you are not sitting on the rear bump stops as a first check.

S30 VG30ET build

So I've been pretty busy recently with my fleet, I replaced a bunch of metal on my VG30 powered 69 Datsun 510 Wagon....well over a hundred hours right there. I also picked up 3 300zx's over the last 2 1/2 months and 2 of them were rusted out pieces of junk, but they ran at least. Basically scrapped ...

Re: NEW B.C. SPEEDING LAWS

Simply detecting laser isn't enough. Time for me to buy that $600 dollar laser detector. Think about it. The slowest fine for having your car impounded is $368. This will also get you 3x$350 as a driver risk premium on your insurance and about $150 for the tow and impound. $1568 if you get caught g...

Re: NEW B.C. SPEEDING LAWS

It's all a fucking joke, they need to blame something to create a revenue stream. They actually think this is the first time that that Ferrari went that speed, I imagine that if you sneezed on the "FINE" pedal you're doing 200kph in that thing. I don't know why shit like this passes through legislat...

Re: 1st gen rx7 rear diff swap

Thanks for that info, one more question; do the original rear shackles pivot forward to still work? So far they have worked. It's been almost 4 years now? I had urethane bushings made up for the rear leaf shackles and with the solid mount up front there is a noticeable reduction in rear end shiftin...

Re: 1st gen rx7 rear diff swap

Hey Denis, I think you know this already, but just incase; the roadster springs will move the rear axle back about 1". You can correct that by moving the locating holes in the axle (at least on the 510) backward. Yup I remember, I am probably going to relocate the front mounting point forward to co...

Re: Has anyone here actually built a VG34?

I still don't see the need for the valve reliefs being cut, has there been a measured clearance
thats too tight and actually requires the reliefs or is this just a copy and paste of the stock 3.3 pistons reliefs?
