Will do! I will have some clearance issues with a new driveshaft at the transmission end as my transmission tailshaft is very close to the trans. tunnel. this was because we put the crossmember tight to the body at the rear. We wanted to keep driveshaft angularity spot on. High speed driveshaft vibr...

Spring is aound the corner and of course it is time to start working on the DIMES! One thing to check! I had a corrosion failure of one of my sway bar end links on my Toyota this winter. Instant body roll, not good when you are all set up in the fast sweeper and have commited to a line! Part of our ...

Hi Billy, I have been running an R180 LSD for 25 years with 4:625 gears and am putting 300 + horsepower through it with likely 300 foot lbs of torque. I have run the stickiest race tires I could get and have had NO problems. As I have said before that R200 is stupidly heavy for a 510, and, if you wa...

No, I will NOT be running this year. I am still not wanting to put a cage in my car....even though it is a VERY GOOD IDEA! I really just want to do some club stuff this year and some more road trips (cannonballs). Knox is a $2,000.00 weekend for me and I have a LOT of other things I like doing. Matt...

Some cars were granfathered on the full cage thing. Others, like mine and Cam's HAVE to have full cages ( good thing to have at Knox) Has anyone heard if Knox is a go this year? I heard a rumble that JIM KELLERMAN is not going to organize this year. Has anyone else stepped up to the plate?

Hi Rob, How BIG a compressor could I THEORETICALLY put on my car?? I just checked today and I do have a 229 on there. If I put the 1.25 exhaust on, what would a 279 do? Would I be outside the surge line?? Obviously the 229 is working just awesome, and you know that old saying, "IF SOMES GOOD, MORES ...

I would shoot for the 9:5 compression. It will make the motor way more snappy in real world driving. You can build a boost retard on the ignition for when everything gets happening. I can give you an idea on the starting jetting you may need on the carb. I have been helping James get his setup. Did ...

My last street vehicle was a 1982 toyota corolla sr5. I put a killer suspension in it. The 3tc motor was quite torquey for an 1800. I ran it at Westwood and did slaloms with it. I put 390,000 km on it and then sold it to my sister who put 10,000 km on it and then sold it to a roundy-round racer who ...

I would not go with a r-200. They are stupidly heavy. I have an r-180 LSD and in twenty five years of racing, making tons of torque, and any where fron 250-300 hp.. The R-180 unit if set up properly will give you years of reliable service and not weigh your 510 down. Remember..Weight is the racers e...

Again..Wow Rob, that WAS interesting! On my 2 Litre I run 15 degrees initial advance, and as boost goes past 12 PSi, the ignition is retarded to 26 degrees total. As most of you know this works well with aviation fuel AND various races gases on my motor. I CANNOT run pump premium with my static comp...

If you are on the lower mainland you can borrow my rule book. that is most important as i said above, then you can decide what you are up against. it is based on a point system. Most of us have done mods that bump us real fast into a level of competition that makes you have to decide if it is for fu...

Also, you would likely have pick-up problems. The 510 tank is not very well baffled. The external pump and surge tank would be best. We built the wells on our tanks to keep fuel coming the whole time.

Thanks Supersport! I think we need to have a refresher course on 510s and water! Hows everbodys fender rails doing? While you all are fixing the rust..Superport and I will be heading off into the sunset, which is of course glinting off our Serengetis', cool music playing in the background.
