Re: Bike rides

TULAMEEN ADVENTURE …….. AND THEN IT SNOWED! A month ago Matt and I decided to do an explore off road in the Tracker, this final weekend of September the date. We wanted to go far enough away from the Vancouver blast zone, but, not spend seven hours driving to Bralorne and beyond. One area that I hav...

Re: With asap front brake hose in Calgary

I hear yah ! If you can, BEFORE you go to pre-grid...can you just drive and drag the brakes. Even GOING to per-grid, any heat helps. I used to do that at Knox in the warm up area..screw the tires, get the brakes warmed up. If all is new too, it does take some time to transfer pad material to rotor, ...

Re: With asap front brake hose in Calgary

As Byron alluded to, pad/shoe choice is critical for a Solo car. I lived some very bad choices over the years..as I thought I had a "race" car. Getting heat into the material and rotor for lineal grip is key for smooth braking. What that says is you basically need just a street pad, or just a hair a...

Re: OCTOBERFAST 2018

I have this all figured into our schedule. We stop in Lytton for a nap by the park. Then, when the food coma hits after the A & W, we just go down to that nice park by the Fraser River. We can stop for a quick nod-off again in Lytton on the way back. With all this factored in this will be an 18 hr d...

Re: OCTOBERFAST 2018

So I am sitting here in my Daffy Duck pajamas, sipping my morning coffee and finishing off the box of Girl Guide Chocolate Mint cookies, when this thought came across my mind. As I am now retired, as are a few others in our group, let alone some with a flexible work schedule...why do we not go for a...

Re: Just for Fun

I actually was out in Fort Langley over the summer, checked some of the shops, nobody is really buying, either consumer or store. I talked to one of the owners, people here of course watching their money as things to just get through a day are so expensive. That one BIG antique store is filled with ...

AMERICA, BIG LITTLE BOOKS (very cool, forerunners of comics) and the list goes on. ARG! Funny how we go through a co...

Just for Fun

As I have now moved a TON of stuff into my basement, that I had stored at work for the last 35+ years, I run into things that NEED TO GO. Many, Many years ago my company sold silver brazing alloys and other precious metals related welding products, which put me into contact with lots of sales people...

Re: OCTOBERFAST 2018

Lets hope the weather is good ! Jeez has it been wet and cool, I actually turned the furnace on the other day to take the dampness off the place in the morning.

Mike, do you have the HID lights? I just put some new, higher output bulbs in mine, I will let you know if it was worth it.

Re: Nissan Bluebird Coupe (JCCA Race Car)

Check the thickness of the housing, if it is thicker than what was in there it is the higher volume water pump, which would be a bonus!

Re: Roll the dice

I could check with Campbell to see who he has pulling his frame on his Pontiac Firebird, after his crash at Knox.

Or, I'm sure Tyson knows someone who still has a frame jig.
