Re: Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays

Happy New Year All !! Got up at 11:40 to ring the New Year in, but, this year could not blast off one of my bear banger's, as I promised the neighbors I would not, after a person was shot just a few doors down from us a few months ago....sign of the times in Vancouver..... Snowing ever so lightly th...

Momo Prototipo steering wheel, used.

Starting to go through the Bert Vorgon Archives to weed STUFF out. I have this Momo 14" steering wheel, NO HUB that I would like to move on. The seam has parted, as you can see, BUT, it is NOT loose in any way. It is still well glued to the foam underneath it. The leather itself is a bit "checked" f...

Re: Insane wind storm in White Rock

Morning World, Would that not be beyond funny if it was my brothers truck. It was in good shape when he sold it to buy the 620, as he made a huge amount of money one summer on a seine boat in the Broughton Straights. here is a picture of my 73 right after it came out of Andy's for the Westwood crash...

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays

As no one else has popped up I would like to wish all on the 510REALM a very good Christmas & Holidays spent with family and friends. As another year has drifted on by and at times seemed to go at 100 MPH figuratively and literally, I look forward to 2019 as another season of getting out in the ole'...

Re: Insane wind storm in White Rock

That was my brothers truck, then he got a 620, then started into a long ownership of Toyota FJ40's.

As they lived in Telegraph Cove, a truck was way more practical than a car.

Re: Insane wind storm in White Rock

Hey Greg, No, we had lots of "flickers", I even turned my computer off so as to not have any issues with a power surge, we have such "dirty' power here in White Rock at the best of times. We took a walk yesterday down to the east beach, what a mess, picnic tables wiped out, tons of big logs thrown u...

Re: Insane wind storm in White Rock

Morning All, My yard is a total mess today, days worth of picking up and raking tree debris and branches. As the pier ripped apart it it also took out the power cables that went to the cell tower at the end of the pier, so cell hone reception is sketchy on the south side of the hill. My cell keeps t...

Insane wind storm in White Rock

Crazy storm today and still blowing, in my 40 years here I have never seen waves and wind like this. We went down to the beach to take some pics and first thing I saw was a ton of RCMP vehicles blocking the pier access. Turns out as I got closer a sail boat ( or Two ) got loose and battering rammed ...

Re: New Hot Wheeels coming out ... AGAIN

Just a heads up for some new diecast models on the market. The small TORQUE BRE one is one of a series with a 1968, a 1970, 240z and a few others. I scored these yesterday at Wilkinson's, he has a few left.

Re: 510 chassis/subframe upgrades to compensate for added hp

Only thing we did on my car was to make a "doubler" plate for the rear control arms, as they are quite weak. As Byron said, we tested like he did across the engine bay and it hardly moves at all, so even on Collin's NASPORT 510 the bay was left open. My car does flex in the door openings when it is ...

Re: sticky caliper

I have found that Never-Sieze in "open air" situations tends to dry out, I used to use just a nice heavy grease. Try that.

My favorite for a lot of applications is Lubri-Plate

Re: DatsunNW & Canby, please read!!

That's what I get for being a wimp about the weather, I was determined to go this year regardless! The Canby show, the two times I went, are the highlights of my 510 road trips, so I am sorry to see you go. As others said, it was an amazing event to bring so many enthusiasts together. As a past orga...

Re: PoorMtnKids 70 2DR

Thanks for updating, I was wondering what you would find. Think of it as the best of the worst, that pump was crap and if it had gotten pressure..how might it have failed you on the track and wreck the engine. I too, way back before I started dealing with Specialty, had a local well known engine pla...

Re: westwood and race car pics

Yes, pics would help, I was still shooting a lot of film in that time period and spent a lot of time at Westwood with the Specialty Engineering group.
