Very nice work! How much do these motors weigh anyways? I havent really looked in to this motor before. Is it an iron block?

Re: another R180 question....!

Sorry, the splines are the exact same, you can use the r160 flange on the r180, but its better to use a larger flange, unless you are not running very much power.

Re: another R180 question....!

Nope, flanges are different. The r160 flange is quite a bit smaller. 240sx driveshafts use the same flange for the r200's.

Re: Hey yall

I totally understand the downsides of a semi-trailing arm suspension, but you can make small improvements that go a long way. I am going to raise the subframe and diff up so the axles are at less of an angle, also raise the control arm mounting points. Total it will probably be only 1-1.5", but...

Re: Hey yall

Dont get me wrong, I am not trying reinvent the wheel here. I'm just going to raise the subframe and diff up a bit and thats about it. I am just really surprized that nobody makes "real" coilovers for these cars. They are still using 30 year old technology. Using a shock that has mediocre ...

Re: Hey yall

Thanks for the welcome. I purchased the car from a guy in NY about 6 weeks ago. I dont want to say his name, just because I don't know if he wants his name spread over the internet. The car is in decent shape, but you are right about a 40 year old car. Some of the stuff on my 240 I took for granted....
