Way better than watching a Nissan Sentra on the half pipe. This actually make me want to buy a Peugeot .
Nissan must have not had a very big CG budget when they made their commercial.

Re: Ignition Problem? Not Sure, Need Help
I'm making some progress, The backfiring problem has been eliminated. I replaced the distributor cap, (the new one has brass contacts which is kinda nice) and the that problem went away. I read that the smaller dia distributiors had a tendency to arc between the contacts so I'm guessing that was hap...

Ignition Problem? Not Sure, Need Help
I had a problem with the motor that i thought was related to the distributor (i described this in detail in my last post in my build thread) but it reappeared this past weekend. the engine stumbles and misfires on acceleration and under load. it idles perfectly and also runs smoothly at higher RPMs ...

Re: Old school 510
It's been awhile since I've done anything to the car and i started to miss that (mostly self-inflicted) pain of working on a 40yr old car i decided it was time for some upgrades. I decided that maybe i should upgrade my dizzy and replace the points with an electronic setup. Since I'm running a facto...

Re: My wagon rebuild
The fuel would dump if the needle valve sticks open or if the float fails while the engine is running. Should've never happen but I've of it happening. Regarding the choke. My motor is really cold blooded. The choke is a must for me. I was fortunate to have a nos twin carb choke cable. I've heard th...

Re: My wagon rebuild
Dan, Since I couldn't find the original bypass tube, I used a piece of aluminum tubing for the heating water bypass. I found a section of preformed heater hose to make the 90 degree and straight connections. I also made the bracket to hold it to the timing cover. And of course after I installed it I...

Re: My wagon rebuild
I see that the bleed screw on your BMC is located on the opposite side of the reservoir than mine is
I believe my BMC is a tokiko . Maybe you can find a BMC with a similar arrangement

Re: My wagon rebuild
Are you using a power brake setup?
I looked at my filter housing and the BMC bleed screws are behind the back of my housing I'm using the stock non boosted BMC.
The extra length of the booster would have caused the same problem as you are having

Re: My wagon rebuild
As you can see from the last pic. This setup clears the stock BMC by about 1/2" inch with the stock air filter
I guess it depends on how thick your air filter is.

Re: My wagon rebuild
The air filters for the 1600 roadster are readily available
The filters to fit the 1800 SSS air cleaners (like mine) are a little more difficult to find although I do know that they are available from Australia. I managed to fine two spare filters stateside.
