NAPA and Kragen (I forget what they're called in Canada, auto parts stores) usually have a bunch of O-Rings that you can go through to find one that fits.

But if the roadster clutch is the hot ticket on an L-series, and fits on the KA, but the truck clutch holds better, wouldn't that indicate that the truck clutch would be "better" than the roadster clutch?

Congrats. Yeah, my brother and I almost forgot that bracket. It seems odd to me that a bracket spaces the starter, but oh well...
What are you gonna use for manifolds? The team Thump headers are a bit too pricey...

Just to check the obvious... which side of the vacuum advance is plugged? If you have a vacuum leak there, and then supply enough fuel so that it idles, it'll idle really high....

Check for vacuum leaks... How's the PCV... other major vacuum leak possibilites...

I hate those setbacks...

The z22 is almost going. Finish it and drive it for a while... Then consider your options.

Is this a sudden change, or has it always been like this since it's been back on the road? I had a car once that got some crap stuck in the main jets. I could only idle or accelerate. That was funny, 15min of driving on the freeway, either floored, or off the gas. Like a WWI airplane. Speed adjustme...

Stick with the z22, or go with a vg... You know how you have an extra head gasket lying around... good luck finding one for an import only motor...

Are the clamps too weak (it slips), or do they just flex too much? Would it help if you just triangulate the little tabs you made on the crossmember, or maybe run a piece of flat stock between them in order to strengthen them somewhat laterally? If it's slipping, can you turn the rack down a bit mor...
